100 Days...

...and 1000 posts.

Well folks, can you believe that it's been 100 days already? And when I realised that I was also approaching the milestone of 1000 posts, I decided to manipulate my universe for the marginal aesthetic value contained in making my 1000th post on my 100th day.

Of course, if the aesthetic principle really meant anything to me in this case, I'd now log-off and leave this as my only post today. That's obviously not what's going to happen though, so chances are, by the time anyone reads this, my post count will no longer be that "rounded".

Actually, there is more to this post than self-aggrandisement, hard as it may be to believe right now.

And that is simply gratitude. I'd like to thank everybody for the warm and easy way you have accepted me into this community, long-winded posts, sometimes bizzare perspectives and all. So...

Well, Avatar, you're currently #5 on the list of Top 10 Fastest Users with 10.36 posts per day. I honestly don't know how folks like you keep up such a torrid pace. Even a caffeine fix doesn't make me post that fast. Maybe CovJr's Elohimcoffee will do the trick.

I think that my title says it all really. And I do love to talk (type?).

The board has so many advantages over real life. I get to say things without interuption, people can pick up on a "conversation" without having had to be present, and with all our members, there's always someone willing to play.

And as for the stats, I have to mention that they're not completely accurate, simply because I only post 5 days out of every 7, so I have to make up for weekends.

Anyway, couldn't do it without the large number of other willing participators. To be honest, I'm sometimes disturbed by the number of threads that have my name as the last poster. I know they have to die sometimes, but I wonder "Am I killing them?"
