Foul Breath Peopleslayer

Maybe I should have used that as my call sign??

Anyway, glad to have found this site. It's been good reading so far.

I was summoned to this land quite accidentally. Way back in 1981, I had three girl friends and I bought each of them a book. I just went to the bookstore, found a book that looked neat, found that the story line was interesting (to me at least), and best of all, it was part of a trilogy. I figured they could pass it around. Anyway, one of the three really took to the story while the other two thought I was strange.

The one that liked the story hoarded the other two books and really began delving in. She got me interested in the story and passed the books to me as she finished them. I was hooked instantly. The story became the hottest topic between the two of us. Anyway, we managed to suck in another friend who was a D&D'r. He took the sinker also. Then, when the 2nd Chronicles was announced and released, we each had to get our own sets because we couldn't wait. I think I have an unopened box set somewhere.

Anyway, that was a long time ago. After Covenant became worm food, I figured that was the end of the story. I was surprised when I saw the Runes book and bought it right then. I just wanted to see how he could continue the story line after the climactic finish of WGW.

I read the 1st and 2nd Chronicles about 7 to 8 times each a piece. I had to do that not only because I enjoyed the books, but because I was still in school and had to do my reading late at night. I'd fall asleep in the chapters somewhere and forget what I'd read sometimes. Each time I reread the books, I'd find parts that I forgot or only slightly remembered. It was like reading a new story each time!

Well, enough rambling.

Thanks to all!

Am I really? Neat! I am not really from Japan, just an expat. Did 20 years in the USN and retired here, that's all. Did all of my chronicle readings in Hawaii.
