Not a bandwagon jumper, honest!

Post by DJAW »

Yes, another new (virtual) face appearing on the forum in the wake of 'Runes'. I've been reading Mr Donaldson for about 20 years though, so it's not a recent thing. I was lured in by the blurb on the FC stating 'comparable to Tolkien at his best' - good enough for me! I'm not really very good at forums, and I never seem to know things in as much detail as most people so I tend to keep my head down, but I find it interesting reading what everyone else has to say, so that probably makes me a lurker (although I don't live in the Sarangrave!).

Anyway, my favourite SRD books are the Gap series, but I have just finished rereading Mordant and both FC and SC in preparation for Runes - it's going to be a long wait for the next one!

So hi to all 1260 odd of you out there - I look forward to maybe having the wee odd chat with some of you at some point.
They give birth astride of a grave, the light gleams an instant, then it's night once more.

Welcome! Don't be intimidated by people like Fist and Faith who have read the full chronicles three times a year since they were written and know every comma - just jump in with we confused people. Believe me, my knowledge of the chronicles has vastly increased since joining the Watch.

"Mostly muffins sir."- My answer in response to the question posed by the officer, "Son, do you have anything on you I should know about?"

His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"

DJAW, be welcome here among us. And like everyone else has said, don't be shy to join in. :D

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.
