Stone and Sea are deep in life,
two unalterable symbols of the world;
permanence at rest, and permanence in motion;
participants in the Power that remains.
"Hellfire! Everybody in this whole business, you and everyone keep accusing me of being some sort of closet expert. I tell you, I don't know one damn thing about this unless someone explains it to me. I'm not your bloody Berek."
After a week of poking around in all sorts of different discussions, I find it sorta odd (but not in a bad way) to find that people who like SRD also have lots of other things in common too.
Greetings to all from the Southron Wastes. Was given Lord Foul's Bane by my English teacher to do as a book report. Got me an A. Asked her after grades if she had the next book and she smiled, opened up her top drawer, and handed me The Illearth War. Bought all three of the Chronicles soon after and bought The Wounded Land soon after its release. Was totally bummed by the cliff hanger ending and had to wait forever until The One Tree hit the shelves. Y'all can guess what I'm about to type next... Was also totally thrilled with the Gildn-Fire outtake too. All of this occurred half a lifetime ago but for some reason I recently felt compelled to re-read these 7 books over a 2 week marathon stretch. They've really held up. Looking forward to next years release.
Nice to meet you Loric
Welcome to the SRD playground
