You know, it occurs to me that I don't think I ever introduced myself in here.

Welcome indeed.
Pointlessly, as you will have no doubt discovered your answers in the threads devoted to "newbie" questions, The WGD may be used to purchase goods from "The Shop" in the menu below the banner, including titles and colours.
Earn by posting, or by the donations of the moderators. By custom, the first donation suffices to purchase a title of your design.
Have fun.

I wasn't bright enough to figure out how to install my title. I still have a message saying: "Prebe changed your title to so-and-so. If this is not OK contact a moderator". My title is still none. So be warned The Esmer, it aint easy!

First you need to purchase the title privilege in the Effects store (after clicking the "Shop" link), then once you own that privilege, go down the page to "Change Title" (NOT "Change Users Title") and type in the title you want, and "buy" it.
That should work. Here's another 2k odd to help you out in case you need to pay for it again.

Erm.
Hello. I'm Ben (I don't know if this is the sort of forum where you use one another's real names or usernames).
This shop business sounds kind of fascinating. And unprecedented, in my experience. Presumably the Casino is linked to the White Gold Dollars. However, I suspect I'll do little but lurk for while yet. Biding my time... yes...
Anyway. I was introduced to the Chronicles by a friend at the end of last year. I read the first chapter of LFB, and liked it, and got round to buying the First Chronicles in January, and loved it (I missed several lessons at school, and once even my train station so I could keep reading). Then I read the Second Chronicles immediately afterwards (with a couple of months' gap between TOT and WGW (he loves his symmetrical initials), because I had to get the latter from eBay. It wasn't in my library.
Then a different friend bought me Runes in March, which I set upon voraciously and read in about three days.
And recently I started reading the Gap books. I don't know if that's relevant. Is this place mostly for Chronicles or general Donaldson discussion?
Oh, and in between all that I also read the collections Reave The Just and Daughter Of Regals.
There's my story.
