I would like to apologise to caamora, and anyone else who was offended by my reply to her original post.

When I initially replied, it was not my intention to upset her, or to cause offense to any other members of the Watch. Unfortunately, it appears that this is exactly what happened, and despite my efforts to clear the air with her at the time, things seem to have gotten much worse.

In hindsight, it would have been better had I never posted in this thread and I apologise for doing so in the first place, as my post caused offense that I did not intend.

Sorry once again.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

In hindsight, it'd probably be much better if none of us ever posted. Would avoid a lot of problems. Of course we'd all just be sitting around looking at eachother's avatars...

Personally, I don't see how you have anything to apologize for. *shrug*
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I am in agreement with Syl, VS. Your post was not offensive.

Well, I read caamora's original post, and the first few replies before the weekend fireworks took place. I was not able to VS's post (he edited it out) nor was I able to read lurch's controversial post (admin edit) so I cannot comment on my feelings about the replies.

I think that we here at the Watch are a caring bunch of people, and no one here would deliberately tread on somebody's feelings.

And if that intent were actually there, I would be ashamed.

Opinions vary, and not all will agree. But I think the manner in which we voice our opinions is just as important as the opinion itself. Just something to think about in the future. :D
