Thanks, guys. 8)

I give the series my highest recommendation, and I have a feeling that the group read may actually happen in the somewhat near future.

Yea gods. You people must have lives. (Read all of the Gap books at once and enjoyed them quite a lot. I was honestly more interested in the enigma that the Amnion represent, but I liked the people a bit too.)

I'm Sam Lemley, a fanfic character that's recently taken over while Turiya goes on a vacation from herself. Herselves. Themselves. Oh, nevermind. I'm not really a Doctor, but i deal with enough crazy people to be a shrink. My name actually belongs to one of Turiya's ex-paramours. She thought it funny to turn me into a girl though, and have my best friend as my "brother". (Tim Pounds. He's crazy.) So, you see why Lady T needed the time off.

Fun fun.

HEY! I know TWO R.H.C.s in Alabama.
In fact, they both have the same name and both were born in Pinellas County, Florida! :D
(This is a FACT)

exnihilo is, no suprise, a latin phrase meaning "from nothing." This phrase was important during the Arian controversy, a theological struggle that preoccupied Christianity from the 3rd to the 5th centuries A.D. The Arians, followers of Arius who were eventually condemned as heretics and suppressed by the Roman state, posited that Christ was not homoousia -- of one substance -- with God the Father and was therefore created "ex nihilo" like any other substance or creature -- albeit the first and foremost of them. As you can tell, the proto-Orthodox church was unamused by this point of view.

I chose this name because the term has existential significance for me -- although it is hard to explain without a lengthy discussion.

well... surrender is something ive had forever. i am catholic, so as everyone eles surrenders all to the world, i surrender all to the one who created it. He doesn't get the credit he deserves.. at all and thats also what the -s- after all my posts means.. it stands for surrender.

-s-
i just roll my eyes and make a beeline for the door but i always end up starryeyed crosslegged on the floor, hanging onto every word. MAN the things i heard!

-----you surrender all to the world around you, i surrender all to the One who created it.-----

Although I get the feeling that this may not be read too commonly, I suppose I'll post up an explanation for my name.

Holsety is a Nordic--->English--->Japanese--->English (or so I believe) butchering of Forseti. Forseti is the son of Balder and the Aesir god of peace and the like, seeking negotiation and calm resolution to disputes.

In Fire Emblem 4, Holsety, the name I've taken, is a dragon god of wind, and the holy crusader who takes his blood during the prehistory of the game. He (not clear whether it's crusader, dragon, or both) alone enters the mortal realm and directly manifests himself to aid the heroes fighting the dark god in modern times, though he only works as a strategist through his descendant, Levin. It's also the name of one of the most powerful magic tomes, used by the descendants of - guess who! - Holsety.

But really, I just like the sound of the name.

Gil galad was an elven king
of him the harpers sadly sing
the last whose realm was fair and free
between the mountains and the sea

His sword was long his lance was keen
his shining helm afar was seen
the shining stars of heavens field
were mirrored on his silver shield

but long ago he passed away
and where he dwelleth none can say
for into darkness fell his star
in mordor where the shadows are

Thor is what people call me "in real life", of course I'm not THE Thor, Norse god of thunder and son of Odin so Ur-Thor is a bit of sarcasm with the "Ur-" being a prefix meaning "original, earliest, primitive," but mainly referring to it's use in the Chronicles eg: Ur-Lord, Ur-Vile ..I'm betting most of you got it without my explanation ;)

You mean you're not really the Ur-Odinson? Whew. I was worried you'd finally tracked me down after failing to kill me in Kentucky.
