Just rented two anime films I've been anxious to see: Ninja Scroll and Metropolis. I got to rent one of them free, because of some Blockbuster deal or whatnot.

EDIT: thought Ninja Scroll was great, but Metropolis was just downright amazing. Loved it.

Recently bought Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Going to watch it tomorrow, during lunch.

I accidentally have on Vandred, which is anime. Sound is turned off, so I'm not noticing what comes and goes on Channel 516.

On Saturday I watched The Ghost and the Darkness. I had seen the two lions in question at the Field Museum in Chicago last month, and wanted to see the movie about them. It was pretty good, though a bit gross watching the lions munch on people like they were mice! 8O

I picked up Corpse Bride and hope to watch it when things settle down a bit at home (we are all taking turns passing around a really nasty tummy bug).
Love as thou wilt.

I received Ghost In The Shell in the post this morning. I really enjoyed it, but I think I might watch it again sometime soon. I was kind of lost for much of it because I didn't really have any idea what was going on. It was about an hour in before I realised what the characters were referring to by the term "ghost".

I also have Metropolis on its way, but I've seen it before (and loved it).

And on the non-anime front, I got American Beauty yesterday - I'd seen it before but was distracted. I like it. And Das Boot, which I haven't seen, I've also ordered. (I went on a DVD spree :D)

I know pretty much nothing about it; I just went to IMDb when I was choosing my purchases and looked at their top films. And it was fairly high up, so I had a look and it sounded interesting.

One of my favorite movies ever. We used to watch it in high school World History all the time. I want to go to Chicago just to see those lions.
