Hello!
Hey there, I just finished both chronicles, and I'm still gasping for air! That was the best fantasy series I have ever read!!

Hey all! I'm really sorry I havent introduced myself sooner. I love this place - it has a friendly atmosphere. I'm not really into the net, and have posted messages on other forums and have found those places to be like a jungle! You know, you can say anything and someone is bound to get offended! I like it here. Very relaxed.
I first came to TCTC three years ago. Read the entire trilogy in front a fireplace during the winter. That was an experience I'll never forget. I fell in love with the land. I've reread the books three times and always want to come back for more. Big fan of the Gap series and Mordants Need, as well. Few writers can invoke feelings in me the way SRD does.
Anyway, nice to be here! Great site!

Ok LORD Sky w/1500 billion posts!
What ever u say! I perfer 2 call all my VERY cool subjects surfs (yes surfs, not smurfs!!!
)
And, since I'm an artist subjects mean some1 who sits 4 a portrait, not an "underling". What is an underling? What a bizarre term is an ur-vile or gollum an underling? No 2 crass a term...The only real def of underling I can find is 1 of those things that hangs
that's enuf danlo!!!
now get ur butt 2 work!!

fall far and well Pilots!

Thanks Danlo, and may I extend my own warm welcome to the new members e'en as it were proffered to me
Like Vain and Ur-vile said, it's great to see SRD fans doing the Land and it's characters justice by being so decent to each other.. and only natural - a love of these books speaks well of the reader.. or perhaps i'm biased

Hello quite new to this board.I've been reading/re-reading the Chronicles for years now.I've read many books but this is the only "one"(specifically The Wounded Land) that brought tears to my eyes
.

Hello Everyone.
I'm a bit late on introducing my self. I've just been so busy reading and posting in the Mordant's Need section.
I first read SDR's TCTC when I was 13 and in Jr. High. I even did a monologue from the first book for my Drama class. I have since re-read it numerous times. It's been a few years though so I'm due to read it again.
After reading the TCTC(first and second) I was really excited when the first book of the MN series came out. I read it immediately. Then got really pissed because he left the book hanging at a really tense point. So it was years untill I picked it back up and read both books all the way through. These are my favorite reads of SDR. I just really like the way the story unfolds and then wraps up. Plus I'm a bit of a romantic and I like the relationships in this story.
A couple of years ago I read the Gap series for the first time. It definitely grabs you but a very difficult read at times. Quite a rollercoaster of emotion. You just love and hate everyone in that story all at the same time.
I have never read any of SDR's short stories or mysteries. I'm interested but I usually just go back to my old favorites. Plus I find them harder to find in the stores. It took me forever just to get the whole Gap series together.
I love that I now have a place to share my love of this author and his stories. You guys are all great! Thanks for being here and being so welcoming!
