Thanks for your welcomes everyone, its great to know that there is a place where i can ask silly questions and not get laughed at......too much.
Avatar - I am confused over some of the language and how SRD employees it, even with a dictionary I sometimes dont understand why and in what context certain words are used. SRD tends to find a favourite word and uses it whenever he can for a chapter or 2 then its never used again!
To be honest i love the fact that these books are taking me out of my comfort zone.
Oh well back to it, Cail far from happy and TC's mind has been wiped, why cant everyone be friends?

I'm new here
Hi all... another newbie here! I first read the original trilogy back in 1978-1979 and was completely hooked! I waited with baited breath for each of the second trilogy to come out. I went away to college and found out upon my return in 1986 that all of my books had been given to charity. Time went by and marriage and children came along and didn't leave me with too much time to think about repurchasing my collection. My love of the Land was still there, but was surpressed by more immediate concerns. Then one day I happened to be strolling through the bookstore with my daughters and chanced upon Runes! It all came flooding back to me. I put Runes on my Christmas list (bolded and underlined). I didn't get it for Christmas (they already think mom's a geek who spends too much time watching and reading LOTR), but I got a gift card so I rushed out the following day to buy Runes. I started to read it but realized it had been too long since I had last been in the Land so I went to the library and took out all of the other books to reread first. I think I read Runes in about 4 hours total the first time around. I had always been meaning to check out the website and am so glad I finally did. It's nice to meet other friends of the Land!
