Of course, if someone wants to pick up Solina, he or she can easily do so, just by asking me; and of course, Solina has her baggage of history, so she would need to be played with it.Murrin wrote:Could someone who wants to join the game choose to take Solina off your hands, or will she remain under your own control only?
seconded. unless we all played as two gods, but i think it would just confuse things. plus, it would be an advantage to those who could keep signing in under different names. the politics of it would become too complicated. i dont want anymore e-mail accounts thanks.Bhakti wrote:I vote No on one person playing more than one god. Too easy to make an alliance. It would be like playing a god twice as powerful as the other gods.
Well, theoretically there shouldn't... but please remember that above and beyond new events, the consequences of the events from the past turn might continue well beyond their turn. That is, for example, even if the demonic rift were closed, that does not mean that the whole thing could not have large repercussions for a few turns afterwards.Murrin wrote:This really is getting a bit ridiculous. I thought you said that there wouldn't be such big stuff happening every turn?
The armies have gathered and are moving; it takes a while to do so, especially if you have no standing army beforehand, but this turn battle should be joined.Tazzman wrote:have any of us engaged the demon horde yet?
So as not to cause confusion, whenever it will be needed for Solina or Morgath to "speak", I will do so by specifying it's them.Tazzman wrote:when you have posted in the pantheon thread recently your posting as Xar right? not that crazy goddess lady?
Presumably, yes.Tazzman wrote:this new demon god, morgath, has arisen to the same status as us now? so the only way to get rid of him difintively is to get rid(by whatever means) of all his worshipers? he cant be killed by one of us or a mortal?
No more than you guys can form alliances. And my two guys are pretty selfish thereAvatar wrote:I also vote "NO" on controlling more than 1 god. And does the fact that Xar is doing so, (which is ok I guess, sorta like NPC's huh?) mean that "his" two gods can form alliances ect?
For ease's sake, I'm not going to make an account for Solina and one for Morgath - I don't want to have to switch through all three accounts (or possibly more later on) every turnAvatar wrote:Of course, if we're going to be dealing with them, perhaps they should have their own accounts? That way, if somebody takes them over, you can just send them the account details.
Exactly. The armies are moving towards the rift, but during the last turn you basically gathered them, gathered weapons and supplies, and started them. The divine points mostly went to speeding up this process, motivating the troops, improving the quality of weapons and armor, increasing the troops' fighting skills, and so on. Using additional divine points on the army will strengthen its chances to defeat the demons; as for the rift, the principle is the same: your divine points have replenished, but the rift is smaller because whoever is holding it open didn't have as much power as the combined efforts of those of you who tried to close it. So, applying more divine points to the rift should close it down, unless more deities strive to keep it open.Avatar wrote:Anyway, so, if I have this right, nobody is actually fighting the demons yet, but the attempt to close the rift failed. Since it's a new turn, the points which were used to send the armies to battle have all been replenished despite the fact that battle has not yet been joined, and the subsequent joining of battle does not necessarily require the commitment of more points, and any additional ones dedicated would serve to strengthen your chances.
Or, another attempt could be made on the rift.
I assume she simply means she doesn't know who to pm in some cases.Xar wrote:Elfgirl, obviously some of the gods have created their own handles because they don't particularly want to be known by their original handles; as for the others, I'll add it to the list
Leaving us with only the one that the aliens opened...Xar wrote: So, applying more divine points to the rift should close it down, unless more deities strive to keep it open.
