New to the Watch -- but not the books! Read them first in 1977, then 1984, then 1995, and currently reading "Ruins". Ahhhh, the Land.

Hail mighty Lords, here i stand to be welcomed into Revelstone, yep another newbie!!Man i had no idea there were so many from this world in love with land as i.Well, to give everybody an idea, i discovered Thomas Covenant completely by accident.Somebody threw away a rather large library of sci-fi and fantasy books which i adopted rather quickly. In this library was many authors whom i had never heard or read from before and Stephen r Donaldson(Hail mighty Creator!) was one of them.i read thru chronicles one and two and was completely floored by the whole thing.Imean damn this beat Papa Tolkein, i was instantly hooked.Well, i went to the bookstore to see if these were available in hardback(Alas, they were not available) and found out that the Creator had started to write Covenant stories once again. This one i did buy in hardback! All i can say is WOW! :P I am reading the rest of the site as i go....no please don't end this thread, there are newbies like myself who can get aquainted with everyone else by reading thru this stuff.

jscottnelson and spacemonkey, welcome to The Watch. :D
You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

Hello all.
While re-reading the first Chronicles this summer I decided to Google for Covenant forums, and here I am!
I first discovered S Donaldson in the early 80's and have been a huge fan, esp. the first chronicles.
I look forward to further exploing these forums, so see ya around.
