STAR WARS: DARTH BANE: PATH OF DESTRUCTION
by Drew Karpyshyn
“Always two there are…no more…no less. A master and an apprentice.”
With these words, Yoda introduced the world to the Rule of Two, the defining law of the evil Sith order. But once, thousands of years before the rise of Darth Sidious and Darth Vader, the Old Republic was rife with the evil Sith, who were a constant thorn in the side of the Jedi. It was a time of war and unrest, as the Sith made their bid to rule the galaxy.
In the midst of their ongoing war against the Jedi rose a young and ambitious Sith, Darth Bane, who recognized that greed and hunger for power were on the verge of destroying the entire Sith order. He knew that he was destined to be the next great Lord of the Sith, and by following his own path, he cultivated his power and made his plans. With patience and cunning, Bane plotted to wipe out the squabbling, ineffective Brotherhood of the Sith and replace it with a more powerful order, guided by his newly conceived Rule of Two. And to do that all he needed was to eliminate a few hundred of the most dangerous and devious Sith Lords of all time…. Jacket art by John Jude Palencar. (Approx. 336 pp.) 2006.
This book sounds quite promising (and Darth Bane sounds like he might be a really cool badass).

But I have read some fairly poor Star Wars books, and am a bit leery of reading one I have not heard of before by an unfamiliar author.

Was just wondering if anyone has given this one a try?
