We got a few cm today...but it's been rained all away.
Oops...we had a one-day snowstorm on Halloween, but since then, most of the snow has been rained away, too. Winnipeg in November with no snow is just unnatural, man. The city looks so dull without the white stuff.
It's on at the end of Sounds Like Canada, so you'll have to suffer through through Sheila Rogers' crap-ass pathetic-excuse-for-a-radio-host show...but it's worth it.
The last play they had, the comedy; Monsoon House, was one of the funniest things I had ever heard on the radio, but this one is so powerfull...man I was almost in tears when they had the funeral for the Sarge. (That was ALMOST in tears)

I must confess to a lack of radio listening. This is mostly due to lack of time in the busy family schedule. However, I did get a chance to see another taping of The Hour (with George -my last name is a sound effect for falling down stairs- Strombolpolous) and his guests were Colm Feore and Stephen Lewis! C'mon! How cool is that!
They are both really cool guys and as much as I didn't care for Stephen Lewis the politician (back in the day), his humanitarian work with the UN has been inspiring.
And Colm Feore, one of the coolest actors out there... excellent funny interview.

THAT would be really cool. I would love to see a taping of that. I did see a couple tapings of Kids in the Hall back in the day, and that was really cool.

I know the temping lure of a made for CBC sitcom is quite alluring, but it was pretty funny...in a littlest Hobo sort of way.
The Pilot is on again tonight (I imagine they're going to be push this one pretty hard; I heard two interviews and about five reviews on the radio yesterday)

if so I did not, but my 19 year old daughter saw it and she said it was funny. I will have to try and see this ...

D'oh! I missed it!
I have been wanting to see this show for a while (shouldn't this be in TV SHows post?), but I am always busy on Wed.
Hey, isn't there repeats on MOndays?...

Who hoooooooo.
Poutine party at drew's!!!
I'll get a few 2-4's of Keiths, we can watch the Grey cup while sitting on my Chesterfield, and then we can go out (pronounced OAT) to a peeler bar, and Pay GST on everything we buy. We'll hit Timmies on the way home...get a couple of Double-doubles and drive a hundred and ten klicks on the TCH.

well at least we know how to count ballots...
Ah, I think we should make Wylde an honourary Canuk ... anyone who spent a sizable amount of time in Winnipeg and lived to admit it deserves it...
(tee hee, says the guy from TO... )

I haven't made it to Toronto yet, though I hear it has its charms as well.
Winnipeg really is rather pretty (though rather flat--says the girl from the hill country!), and has very nice parks. I found the people there even more lovely. As I tell my friends, "Winnipeg is just like America, only the city is cleaner, the people are friendlier, and the crime rate is lower. "
