Hehehe! I don't live anywhere close, but what a nice concept! A hug for you, and for your endeavors:Cagliostro wrote:I feel inspired today. I came across the Free Hugs campaign, and I'm thinking of doing it. I think I'll try to organize some huggers to go out to Boulder Colorado (seems like the best place, and probably already receptive) as well as somewhere in the Denver area. Don't know when yet, but I can't imagine a nicer way to spend a day of my life: hugging strangers and bringing a little joy into other people's life. And, if I learn to pickpocket by then, it could be very lucrative (I'm totally kidding about the last bit). I have a couple video cameras, so I might just film it as well. And maybe if I can get my friend to write or donate a song for it, it will be even better.
Anyone out there live around Denver and wanna hug strangers?

Lyr, if for some reason you're ever in Gator Town, our Art Museum on the UF campus has one Monet, the Champ d’avoine...Wyldewode wrote:I'm excited to see a Monet up close (finally!). I went all the way to Paris last year and didn't see a single one! Of course we didn't have time to go to Musee d'Orsay, or L'Orangerie where a large number of his Waterlilies are. But I will not be denied a brush with greatness (pun intended!).
Thanks for that. Makes me feel SO much better!danlo wrote:The world is on you shoulders-get over it!(50 years worth of experience talkin' here bubba!)

Yup, Somerset West, just outside Cape Town.Avatar wrote:And no better plave for it.Phantasm wrote:no summer holiday for me this year, but we are going to South Africa just after Christmas, so will be seeing in another New Year in the Southern Hemisphere.
Where do you stay in SA...oh, wait, somewhere in the Cape isn't it?

There's a video on YouTube of it in Scotland. I don't know the politics up there, but the Scottish don't strike me as very "touchy-feelie," and the Scottish in the video that do it give the quick hug, back pat and run off.CovenantJr wrote:Cagliostro wrote:I feel inspired today.
