Liquor: An alcoholic beverage that is distilled rather than fermented. (Including brandy / cognac btw ;) )

Liquer: Class of spirit that is normally sweet and often served after dinners. It is produced by either mixing or redistilling spirits with natural ingredients, such as fruits, plants, flowers, or chocolate. Sugar must be at least 2½% of the contents by weight.

I've always hated the taste of alcohol, so I make mine without, although it can go either way. An extremely easy recipe.

-Whip a couple egg whites.
-Whip a small thing of heavy cream.
-Fold them together.
-Beat the yolks with some sugar, and whatever flavor you want. I use imitation rum extract or vanilla extract, but whatever you're in the mood for. Rum is what the recipe originally said.
-Fold this into the other stuff. Then I taste and see if I need more sugar or flavor.

It's called Spoon-up Eggnog, because it's really thick. If you make it at Thanksgiving, it makes a fantastic whipped cream for the pies! :D

There was some real good wine at my first cousin's wedding reception.

Had two glasses of White Zinfandel, as well as some red. I said to the bartender: "Give me what that girl just got," so I don't remember the red wine's name. It wasn't as strong as Chianti--had a very clear taste, like the Zinfandel. I also shared a big thing of beer with my mom; forget the name of it also, but it tasted very much like Corona Light.

And for the record: my liquor of choice is Bacardi rum.

Have you tried Mount Gay rum from Barbados? Hyperception's step-dad is a Bajan, so I may be biased, but he gave us some rare aged rum by Mount Gay when we were at their place the same time Fist and I got together at Chr-stmastime a few years ago. Oh...my...word. I don't know if he brought that back with him from his last visit to Barbados, or if it is available in the states. I do know, if I could afford it, that I would have a bottle of it at home at all times...

And rum is not my liquor of choice usually.

Haha, I'm lucking out on the wine stakes at the moment...got a whole bunch of bottles to "test" from my uncle...in the last 2 weeks I've cracked 4 or 5 Cab Sauv's, Merlot's and Shirazes, ranging between 7 and 10 years old, and only had to pour out one so far. Still another 3 or 4 bottles to go. :D

I have no recipies for egg nog...but I'd just like to add, that I perfer non-alcoholic nogg myself.

If I want to have a drink on Chirstmas Eve...I'll have some Rum and Cokes...I've tried mixing the store boughten stuff with rum...I usualy pour it out, them pour myself a normal one. (It's Not Bad with Captain Morgan Spiced...but it still lessen's the taste to me)

No If I could try a homemade nog, with the booze, that tastes as good as the stuff in the carton...then maybe...
