You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.
In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.
He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

Blame my range of multilingual swearing capabilities on the major metropolitan melting pot that is San Francisco!

Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Bienvenue à Kevin's Watch, tcovenant, Auleliel, et Stutty!
Heh. . . I speak English fluently (or so the university claimed when they gave me my BA in English Literature). I also know:
basic French (far from fluent here!)--from college
smattering of Danish--mostly what a traveler would need (dated a Dane)
smattering of Spanish--high school is to thank for this
fair Latin--taught myself
And the not-enough to be really significant:
Egyptian heiroglyphs
Greek
Romanian
Russian
Ukrainian
Slavonic
Bulgarian
German
Mandarin (roomate is learning this, so I pick up fragments)
Fantasy languages:
Quenya (high elvish)
Old Tongue
I mostly swear in american english, or Uk english. My grandmother was an English immigrant.
Overall, I am a dabbler in languages.
Edited for spelling.

Heh. . . I never said I was all that good at Quenya. . . just that I know some.Menolly wrote:~Lyr,
I'll have to tell Hyperception he can converse with you on the Watch in either Latin or Quenya. I doubt he'll actually do it, but he'll get a grin out of the thought.

Auleliel, that's pretty cool! Sounds like fun to do that with a friend.

Just a bit about myself
Hello everyone
Please allow me to tell you a bit about myself.
On the net I am known as Graehstone and I am passed my mid forties, married and no children (this time around,) a disabled cold war vet, househusband and Parrot wrangler, part-time poet and professional ponderer, vacuum cleaner pilot extraordinaire, medical guinea pig (I have a cortical stimulator attached to my spine) and culinary genius (so the wife tells me ... I make a mean PB&J sandwich
) as well as anything else that I can be/do to make my wife’s and Parrots lives easier.
So in short I am a stay at home dad to 1 Wife, 1 Congo African Grey, 1 Timneh African Grey, 1 Senegal and 1 Cockatiel, all girls (sigh, lol) due to my spine doing things it doesn’t know it’s not supposed to.
Needless to say I am an avid reader and always have been, with the “Covenant” series having been my favorite for as long as I can remember.
Thanks for having me and many more thanks to the admins for fixing the “trouble” I had getting in here.
May all your days be filled with Health, Love and Happiness and your nights with Passion.

For thirty years he talked in feathered pride
For thirty years he talked before he died.
You say that parrots do not really know
The meaning of the words they speak? Just so,
I grant you that you may be right - but then,
Do men? Theodore Stephanides

HAHA, yeah we're all pretty goofy around these parts. Make sure you explore all the little nooks and crannies, there's plenty of good stuff around here.
Welcome!
