Thanks for the welcome.
Re the signature, I am currently on WGW during my 3rd full read of the series. Was thinking, I should come up with a signature, and then the quote came up in what I was reading. So it wasn't exactly a major thought process!
It was going to be either that, or 'stop giving me that blank look'.

Hi!
This is a great site and I'm glad I found so many people willing to discuss TC in depth! Nobody I know IRL has read the series.
I loved every minute of LFB, (mostly) enjoyed TIS and then got stuck in the middle of the third book, because I couldn't stand the suffering anymore. That book is really depressing.
Tell me, should I read on? Especially since there's a second series of chronicles with even more suffering following that?
Anyway, I'm 27, female and European and I look forward to talking with you all.

Hi Onions ... well I'd always recommend one continued through the books, but like the first two, they're all psychologically weighty, often depressing, and if the first two have scared you off, then I suppose you're at a crossroads from which no-one but yourself can now decide.Onions wrote:Hi!

[quote="Lord Mhoram"]Well, Vain, I wish I made my signature myself...but it comes from The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis, the final Chronicle of Narnia. Its what Aslan told all the animals to go..."Further up and further in!"quote]
Now THAT was a depressing book! I dunno if its stull that heavy, now that I'm of adult age, but crikey when I was a young'n, The Last Battle split my nerve asunder.

Haven't read them for ages, sister has box set, might need to borrow sometime, Silver Chair was most memorable for me.Lord Mhoram wrote:The Chronicles of Narnia were the best fantasy Ive ever read. Period.
I didn't recall the sig though, or any text from the books at all!
