Hi guys and gals

Thought I'd come and join some fellow SRD fans, seems like a friendly place here :)

First read the Second Chronicles when I was 10 or 12 (in the '80's) and then found the First Chronicles a couple of years after. They have the special position of being the first books to make me cry, a book had never done that before. I think they were probably the first 'adult' books i read and have ever since had a special place in my heart. Finding out that the Last Chronicles were on their way was like finding out that Tolkien had written LOTR pt II from beyond the grave, sooo happy!

I've re-read the Gap series and Mordant's need in the last year and was blown away again. (I loved the 'Ancillary documents' in the Gap series, v clever).

I spend most of my limited free time playing WoW, EVE-online or making music.
Music can be heard
HERE.
I even have a Donaldson inspired piece: The Hills of Andelain.

But enough of this spamming, nice to meet you all

Be welcome to the Watch, Vasko. Be Well Come and True.

I am not a WoW'er, but I lurk on the thread for the Watch Guild down in Video Games. The Wow thread is already 35 pages long, and growing.

Also come check out Gravin Threndor to check out the Watch turn-based role playing/strategy games. Right now, only Pantheon seems to be active, and that is currently closed to new players, but there is a thread discussing potential new games in the main forum. Scroll down past the sub-forums for the individual games, and you'll see it.

Enjoy the Watch!

Hello (beware the halfhand)

Post by thibcli »

Hello,
My name is Cliff and I am happy to be here. Stephen, you don't know how prophetic that saying, "Beware the Halfhand", was for me. I had a former manager who was  a halfhand, and he was one of the most uncaring, maniacal (dare I say evil!) bosses I have ever had!

Haha, that's pretty excellent. :)

Welcome to bookewyrmm, vasko, omega_695, thibcli, and The Unfettered One. I hope all of you enjoy your stay at the Watch. :D

I tell you, I take a few days off, and people arrive here in droves. Maybe I should go away more often. ;)

Hello to all

I'm new to the Chronicles, still on "Lord Foul's Bane", but feeling the beauty of the Land and the story.

Will spend some time reading over here too, before writing more.
