Blast from the Past

Post by ur-bane »

Hello!
Just want to say hello to everyone. It's been quite some time since I participated here, and I am looking forward to jumping back in.

I see a lot of old familiar [faces]...Avatar, Cail, Plissken, Prebe, drew, Fist, Lucimay, Dragonlily, dukkha, Esmer, Syl, Murrin, Lord Mhoram, ...just to name a few. And I also see a lot of new [faces] that I am looking forward to getting to *know.

Suffice to say I missed all of you. But life in my neck of the woods has been trying for a few years...leaving me a bit depressed and needing to sort things out. But I have decided to no longer wallow in sorrow, and to pick up the pieces and move on. Therefore I am back to the Watch which I love, and back into life in general.
My posting may be minimal in the near future, but I am certainly looking forward to getting full-swing back into the 'Tank. :-)

Ha! I have no sense of humor anyway. (hehehe)
But to you, Av, I owe an apology....which is a long time coming. I disappeared with nary a word although I was co-mod of the Tank. For that I apologize.
Obviously the disappearance of one member is trivial, but I should have at least let you know my intentions. I have too much respect for the tank members to have done that. So please all accept my apology.
And Cail...if you are reading this...it's good to see you again too. :-)

Nah, don't worry about it. :D You were just a sop to Jay's conscience... ;) (Actually, IIRC, you already apologised in one of your all to brief re-appearances.) And we've got a great mod team in Cail and Pliss (finally). These days, I'm just along for the ride most of the time. :D

(Maybe I ought to ask Jay for a nice quiet forum and spend my time starting fights in the 'Tank for the next couple years...)

:LOLS:

LMAO! I bet you want to just be controversial every once in a while. ;)

And I am glad to see that Long-time Tank "opponents" are working together to further the good of the thinkers. (If that makes any sense???)

Menolly, thank you! It feels great to be back among friends.
As much as I needed my absence, I also needed my return. ( I hope that makes sense)

Be welcome on your return Ur-bane.

I just need clarification on whether or not his return makes him newbieisher than me.

I need no such clarification, LOL. The raw power of my newbieishness is unsurpassable! Greetings ur-bane and best wishes. It sounds like you are moving in a positive direction.

Welcome back fella.
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.
