yes but why?
Because she's the mod and it's her forum?
somehow i'm doubting that lyr just looked at those posts and said to herself "gosh, i'm the MOD here. i can move those posts if i want to! now lets see, where is the most confusing place i can move them too??"

just not buying that cail, that she moved em because she could. that makes even less sense than where she moved em and i've actually met lyr and she's really not that capricious. so...i think you're wrong. i don't think thats why she moved em at all.

My point was that she's the mod, this is her forum, and she doesn't need to explain why she moved stuff.

Rather than question her judgment out here in the forum (and undermine her authority), this might be one of those things better left to PM.

Anytime. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't appreciate it much if your mod decisions were publicly questioned, I'm just suggesting that you give everyone else the same courtesy.

you're "pretty sure" but you're not POSitive, are you????

in fact, you're probably not really sure AT ALL how I define courtesy!! :haha:

Hence the reason I made the suggestion, rather than a statement.

statement of what? now i AM confused. :?

hence, my questions. when i'm confused, i ask questions.
doesn't matter to me one hoot if the person i'm asking questions of
to get my self unconfused is a mod or not.
and, in fact, i don't even mind people KNOWING i'm confused.
which is why it didn't occur to me that my confusion would be a
private pm matter.

as to how i feel about people questioning my modly decisions in public, heh, question away! i'm so busy as a mod doing modly shit, i don't have time to feel offended if someone questions my modly doings.

(nor can i imagine doing something so...well...modly, that i COULDN'T be questioned - thus, my inhibition in asking lyr why those particular posts were moved to this particular thread!! i'm sure she had a line of thinking, as i have already stated, i don't find her to be a capricious, for the helluvit kind of person, and i just wanted to know what it was.)

so...if you have a real idea of why she might have done it, please, by all means....DO TELL!!!

What the hell are you all on about? Lyr probably thought they deserved their own thread for posterity and recognition.

(Note my complete lack of participation in this thead btw. )

Who knows? All I did was suggest some common courtesy.

and my suggestion is that what you define as "common" courtesy is not necessarily what i define as "common" courtesy!

and i still don't know why the posts were moved! :P but your suggestion, Av, could suffice as a possible reason. thank you!

Well, I did make a sort of oblique suggestion/request that somebody move the Watch addiction comments to a different thread, to get them out of the greet-the-noobs thread. So if you want to blame somebody, go ahead and blame me. :)

AjK copied Wayfriend's test into a totally new thread. All Lyr did was to go back and segregate the posts from the start of the discussion, and then merge them with AjK's thread. Personally, I thought it was a rather elegant solution. But I can see where it might confuse somebody.

Indeed, I was simply trying to help out with aliantha's suggestion. In hindsight I should have left it to a(n obviously more qualified) mod. My apologies all 'round for my part in any confusion. I had the best of intentions...

Sorry. . . I was gone several days and didn't see this. I did move the posts because of Ali's suggestion, and I merged them with ajk's thread on Watch addiction. It made sense to me at the time, and I apologize for the confusion I created. Glad Ali was able to help with the explanation. :D

no problem lyr. thanks for your reply. its not the first time i've been confused and it won't be the last.
and just so you know, i wasn't "questioning" your modly decision (as someone suggested) i was merely confused. thanks again.
