Thank you variol son, and thank you everyone. Returning here was something I never thought I would have the courage to do, so your welcome is doubly appreciated.
Now previously, I would have put a huggy face at the end of the sentence back there, but I've just been re-reading some of my old posts. Ouch. I hereby forswear the use of Emoticons. By the Seven, I feel dated! Heh.

two unalterable symbols of the world;
permanence at rest, and permanence in motion;
participants in the Power that remains.
"mea culpa, Furl's Fire, mea culpa", I say, chuckling to myself, happy.

Earthfriend wrote:Hello everyone. I'm not actually a new member, but it's been so long since i posted, it kind of feels like it. I'm most eager to be back and I look forward to reaquainting myself with this wonderful site. (That is, if you'll have me? I did just sort of cut and run, admittedly)
I'm sure they'll have you, but the question is, will you recognize this place anymore?
The layout of the Watch seems essentially unchanged, even down to WGDs and being advised as to the Sun of the day - embelishments I've always loved, by the way.
When i last visited the Tank, the threads were about President Bush and Iraq; a quick look over there now shows me 'Iraq' and 'Bush Lite'. A quick read shows me the discussions carried out within a just as...robust, shall we say...as I remember.
But more importantly, the Watch still seems a lively, thriving site where i can interact with people who share my love of the Covenant series, where i can read other's work and be inspired, where my own beliefs and conceptions can be challenged and refined. And at the same time, it is a place i can relax, a place i feel at ease, a place of acceptance.
So i guess the old cliche is true, matrixman; the more things change...

Hmmm. Maybe you weren't around when the original WGD market "crashed." We're using a revamped WGD system. Not that I'm a fervent capitalist around here.
Anyway, welcome back. It's always nice to see a member from the distant past (in internet time) return.
The WGD market 'crashed'? For some reason I find that hysterically funny. Seriously, giggling like a school kid here. Maybe it's the image of Bloodguard dressed in suits, throwing themselves from office windows, heh. Yeah, I'm gonna stop talking now.
