Picked up several by Llewelyn at the used book store yesterday, Av. Finished "Strongbow" this morning (it was quite short). I'll post the rest in General Fantasy/SciFi, I guess...

Hi everyone...

Post by Wheelwash Whitecap Mate »

:D I am new to the Thomas Covenant Series. I have got about halfway thru the Lord Foul's Bane book and am looking forward to discovering what else lays in store for Covenant, so please don't tell me about what happens.

I was totally upset at the Rape scene, so now I am hooked. My husband Wheelwash Whitecap has read this series twice now and started me on it. ;) I hate when he is right.

I also started playing Sudoku which I love on his name and messed it up, so I started my own name so I will no longer mess up his average.

Looking forward to chatting with you all when I finish my book,

I think LFB is easily the weakest of the 6 books comprising the first and second chronicles. If you're enjoying LFB you're going to LOVE the next 5 books!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Be careful when wandering around the Watch. Spoilers are everywhere (although almost always marked as such.)

Yeah...Suggest you avoid at least the Chrons forums for now. The dissection forums aren't too bad, since posts there tends to stick to the chapter under discussion...but no guarantees.

(And welcome to the Watch. :D )

Welcome to the Watch, Billingsgate. I can deduce you're a Gap fan. I can only hope you're not a bootleg shipyard fronting for the Amnion. That would be bad. :)
