LOL, you are too funny. Of course, my 917 "birthday well-wishes" and 83 "welcome to KW" posts should count for something! Or not. Maybe I'll feel differently when I hit the "real" Mile High Club of 5,280. Or not...
Congrats, Andy!!!

Thanks, StevieG. However, I am not sure about the ranking. I believe I have seen "Lord" as the ranking of multiple people whose posts numbered in the thousands. Oh if only becoming a Lord was that easy, LOL.
Oh yeah, probably true! I have seen 'The Gap into Spam' for members with posts above 4000 - maybe if you don't create a custom rank you get 'Lord' at 5000. Hmmm, that's a lot more welcomes...
Here's what I have seen regarding automatic titles.
I don't know if they were ever changed from this, as this was posted back in 2006...
Avatar wrote:He knows. ;)

Anyway, if you're interested, here's a list of the automatic titles and requirement:

1-25 = Servant of the Land
25-50 = Stonedownor
50-75 = Woodhelvennin
75-100 = Ramen
100-250 = Elohim
250-500 = Giantfriend
500-750 = Haruchai
750-1000 = Bloodguard
1000+ = The Gap Into Spam

Mods have the title "Lord" unless they change it manually.

As you can see, they're not actually intended to accurately represent relative powers.

I'm pretty sure Stevie is correct, and only mods receive the "L-rd" title.
But as I have customized my title from post five onward (even spending WGDs to do so, back in the day when that was required), I don't know for certain and deferentially cede any knowledge of the matter to Avatar, as shown above...

And I'm pretty sure "The Gap Into Spam" is ~jay's way of saying, "you must be a spammer to have generated this many posts!" ;)

Menolly's correct -- only mods get to be Lords. And I think admins are High Lords, tho I could be wrong about that.

I've had a custom title for so long that I didn't even know there *was* a formal ranking... Ah, the good old days before the WGD market crash, when we could pay for custom titles, color and shadow effects, etc....

Oh yeah! Congrats, Andy!

That list looks consistent with what I recall my progression to have been. I did use a custom ranking at one point but I have forgotten what it was. Oh well.

Looks that way. I bow to StevieG's knowledge! :D

Jay is both funny and wise. ;)

And thanks to Menolly and Ali as well. Nice folks like you two are a part of what keeps people here.

Yeah, if there's one eye-candy feature I miss, it's the custom effects for usernames.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that list is still valid. There might be a low-ranked title missing...don't know if I ever corrected the post after somebody (Jay I think) pointed it out to me.

 When I see a standard title, I usually assume the person doesn't know how to change it.

(And congrats AjK, on your Watch milestone. ;) )

*nodding*

I wasn't on the Watch long enough to generate the WGDs needed to customize it further than the text itself before the great crash, but I remember envying those who had done so back in the day.

Speaking of titles, I had tried importing a non-romanized foreign language font into one of the titles of my GT personas, and it only generated code. It works on the phpBB2 boards on forumer.com, but I guess is a no go here.

*ah well*

It's correct - I've been following the progress out of interest (call me anal...) :)

Possibly in some cases, but I like Haruchai, Giantfriend and Bloodguard so have chosen not to edit it (and I can't think of anything right now). If I get to 'The Gap into Spam', I think I'll change it
