~No, I am not ready...send me back!~
Hi, I am new here but not to the world of The Land.
I first tried to read LFB when I was 12...that was too many years ago. I got bored in the first 75 pages and dumped it. I picked it up a couple years later to try again and have been utterly hooked ever since.
I am now on my fourth reading, reading the series to my kids (10 and 12)! We are all enTHRALLed (god I loved that character!) as we are just beginning WGW. I have never read the Last Chronicles, so we will be exploring that series for the first time together.
Anyway, glad to be here and eager to look around and glean insight.

Spoiler
A tonne is metric, a ton is British Imperial - and British is a very different thing from English.
As you were, ladies and gents. Carry on.
Hello
Hi everyone. I read the first chronicles 28 years ago in high school and the second chronicles as they were published. Such epic storytelling! However, as life got busy (college, career, marriage, children) the Land fell distant in my memory. About three months ago, on impulse, I ran SRD through the author search on amazon.com, and was thrilled to see that the first two books in the final chronicles had been released! I decided that I needed to revisit the fist and second trilogies before plunging into the new books. I'm about one third of the way through TPTP and have been thoroughly enjoying the story! One thing that didn't exist when I was first travelling the Land was the internet, and the resulting message boards! I'm thrilled to have found my way here and look forward to being a member of this community.
