We know how much everyone here loves her. We also know how much she loves all of you.Fist and Faith wrote:I know this is a difficult time for you folks out there. You're scared, worried, exhausted, and on and on. We really appreciate when you somehow manage to come here and update us.
Dad had to turn off the cellphones in the CCU, he wanted me to tell you all that if you have tried to txt him and didn't get a response, that is why. Mom is semi responsive, she grips his hand, sometimes opens her eyes and she is moving her legs. She doesn't seem to recognize any of us when she has her eyes open, she just kind of stares at nothing in particular. Dad says she's still where ever she is, and can't see us yet. We don't believe that she is anywhere pleasant. She doesn't smile. We believe she is fighting to get back to us.
Dr. Liz says that the sepsis is hanging onto her and is starting to resist the antibiotics. She's running a low grade temp and she has a rash all over her. They started her on an even stronger antibiotic yesterday afternoon (I can't remember the name of it). We pray that it will get rid of the sepsis.
One of us will try to come on again later when we have more news. Love you all!
For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love
For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love
For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

I love that.Savor Dam wrote:May the most powerful GPS of all -- God's Providence and Succor -- guide Tracie back to you, Russ...and to all of us who love her and are praying for her recovery.
While listening to this song my baby brother Stevie came up to me and said. "Mommy is fighting with a mean man, but Uncle Steve is carrying her."
Held-Natalie Grant
Two months is too little
They let him go
They had no sudden healing
To think that providence
Would take a child from his mother
While she prays, is appalling
Who told us we'd be rescued
What has changed and
Why should we be saved from nightmares
We're asking why this happens to us
Who have died to live, it's unfair
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held
This hand is bitterness
We want to taste it and
Let the hatred numb our sorrows
The wise hand opens slowly
To lilies of the valley and tomorrow
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held
If hope is born of suffering
If this is only the beginning
Can we not wait, for one hour
Watching for our savior
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held
We'd be held
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held
This is what it means to be held.....

Please all, give it a listen. This is what gives us our strength during this time of total darkness. If we lose Mom...We'll be held...

Hey all, yeah, rough ride there. We weren't sure which way she was going to go. Even set some plans in motion in case she left us. But, she's back! Praise God and all His Glory, she's back. She's far from 100% though. Her kidneys have shut down so she is getting dialysis, but she's lucid for short periods of time and no longer in a coma state. Heh, when she came out of the coma the first thing she said to me was, "what's wrong? Kids alright? You have an awful look on your face." She literally had no idea what hell she had just put us all through. Gotta love her! I assured her that we were all fine, that's how she is, didn't even ask what was wrong with her, until about a half hour later when she realized that she was back in CCU. She's gonna be there awhile.
I know I keep saying this, but I'm saying it again. Thank you all for your support, love and prayers during this storm our family is facing. You are all true friends. God bless and keep you all.
