You're always telling me to "get a life!" :|

But yeah, if they don't post a location, I check the phoogle if there's a button on their post. Cultural differences can affect the way a Watcher views the chrons, ya know?

It could be worse. She could be spending her time reading LFB to random 5th graders......

Nah.

If they're ready for it, they have the ability to read, and look up unknown-to-them words, themselves.

Well, since Menolly spilled the beans on how to do this Phoogle thing, and I tried it, now, I'm compelled to ask if Robin R-E Rudolph is our first Mer-Person? (Esmer doesn't count, he doesn't live with that side of the family)

Wow, are you really that close to Yosemite, Sindatur? Must be gorgeous in your neck of the woods.

Sacramento, CA... within a hundred miles or so of Yosemite and San Francisco (The City for us Californian Locals, not 'Frisco). We spend the Holidays even closer to Yosemite (outskirts, just about)

Just saying Hi

Post by sda2010 »

Hi,

I've popped in and out of this forum over the years and must say its great to see so many likeminded people.

I started reading the chronicles so many years ago that over that time I've struggled to find other 'material' to read. The quality of the writing is awsom.

Between books there seems such a long time and you wait and wait... then suddenly its out and like now I'm just waiting for my book to arrive...I'm so excited. I've had to read chapter 1 from the stephen Donaldson web site just to satisfy me...

Oh happy days are here again...

Stefan.

I have been on this site on and off for a number of years. A very rare slow day, so I finally got around to actually signing up.

Oops, forgot the second part. No most of Sacramento couldn't be classified as beautiful, however, there is beauty nearby, and we've got some really cool Victorian Houses downtown, near the Capitol.

Oh, and Welcome didymus29

Be Welcome to the Watch, Stefan.
Be Well Come and True.

There are lots of forums to jump in to, and we love fresh blood. With luck, we can help ease the waiting between AATE and TLD.

Greetings fellow admirers of quality prose, & thank you

Post by IO »

Well I feel honored to be part of the group. First read LFB in the 80s and was hooked. Since then, I've devoured every Chronicles book with great enthusiasm. Truthfully, here in my older age, anticipation of each Last Chronicles book has been the bedrock of hope when all else has been lost in my life, which has happened twice thus far. Thank you, SRD, for giving me happiness beyond what any other author can ever imagine. You are in a class of your own, and it matters not who does or does not acknowledge such- your fans are all the appreciation you'll even need. TLD, though surely tragic, will be a wonderful culmination of a saga worthy of Giants, and were Grimmand and Saltheart to incarnate they would surely weep tears of joy at your masterful tale. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your Creation, and thank the gods that I have been fortunate enough to be alive in this time to bear witness to the unfolding of this treasured benison.
*bows deeply*
