 Just some of our local talent on display. That movie came out here a few years ago, I'm not sure how widely it was released overseas. It's not exactly an arthouse film!

Not sure about Theaters, but, we got it on DVD from Walmart in the secondary class DVD New Releases (IE: Avatar and all the other Blockbusters are up front of the new release section (generally 6-10 each week), then behind that you have the rest of the new releases)

My son is loving Shawn The Sheep from Aardman. I should definitely not show him this movie.

Hello, everyone. I am new to both this site and the Covenant books. Only on The Illearth War right now, about to finish it and move onto The Power That Preserves. You might have figured that out from my sig...

Also, feel free to call me Bippwatt or Bipp. It's what I go by normally, but how could I resist getting a name a bit more native to the Land?!

General opinion of the books so far: OMFG! I need the the Second Chronicles! Like some time soon! Cause I'll devour Power That Preserves and then I will be out of Covenant books! It is sad.

Fave Character: Mhoram or Foamfollower. Alas, no Foamfollower in this book. I have been assured that I have not seen the last of him though, despite the....issues the Giants seem to be facing. This makes me happy.

Least fave Character: Elena. HOW IN THE NAME OF THE SEVEN DID SHE BECOME HIGH LORD!? She is dumb! And creepy! And god knows what she has/will do.(I am reading the second to last chapter in Illearth War, so I know something bad has happened but not what...but I suspect Elena is involved....Something gives me the creeps here!

Sorry for long introduction....but at least you know something about me! Sort of.....

Hail! And I shall see you all around!
"Branches spread and tree trunks grow
Through rain and heat and snow and cold:
Though wide world's winds untimely blow,
And earthquakes rock and cliff unseal,

My leaves grow green and seedlings bloom
Since days before the Earth was old
And Time began its walk to doom,
The Forests world's bare rock anneal,

Forbidding dusty waste and death
I am the Land's Creator's hold:
I inhale all expiring breath,
And breath out life to bind and heal.

But ax and fire leave me dead.
I know the hate of hands grown bold.
Depart to save your heart-sap's red:
My hate knows neither rest nor weal."

Ah, to experience the first chrons virginally again, enjoy! Just beware of spoilers throughout the Watch.

Speaking of which, once you finish the chrons, feel free to explore the rest of the Watch; we have forums and threads on just about everything. Jump in anywhere and post.

Welcome to the Watch FW. (You're gonna have to remember your name here and not rely on being called something else. ;) )

Yeah, watch for spoilers, especially in the TC forum, where no distinction is made between the 1st and 2nd Chrons. Once you finish the 2nd, you'll be alright, because the last chrons have their own forums.

Enjoy. :D

Hi new people!

And Danlo, that poster is just a tad disturbing.. 8O
For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

Hi! Long-time reader, first time... board member. I think that's how that works.

I read Lord Foul's Bane back in '88 or so and I've been a Donaldson fan ever since. I just finished Against All Things Ending last week, and I'm still a die hard fan of the Covenant books. I also really enjoyed the Mordant's Need and Gap books, as well as the Reeve the Just collection of shorts.

Not sure what else to say here... in real life I work in the video game industry as an associate producer, I live in Los Angeles now after growing up in New England.

Oh! Also... just yesterday I bought my wedding band, I'm getting married in July. White gold band.
