I have 1 burning question so far.
Is 'Against All Thing's Ending' available as an e-BOOK.
If so where is the best place to purchase it in Australia?

If you have a Kindle, every Kindle book in the amazon library is available from the Kindle itself. (I said Kindle three times in that sentence!)Quentin wrote:Hi all I'm new to this forum, but not new to The Land.

Actually he did Runes also (It was available commercially, rather than on his site like the rest)Savor Dam wrote:Actually, Av, Brick did Fatal Revenant and the first trilogy. Nothing for the Second Chrons (AFAIK), nor any volume of the Last Chron other than FR.
Inconsistent publisher policies...

On Disk 2, I rescind that and modify it with, they sound like Doctor Who's K-9. Mechanical, with high pitched voices.Savor Dam wrote:sindatur wrote:I borrowed AATE Audio from a friend, and I'm still in Andelain, and not impressed with the reading of it so far. Do. Not. Want.
Thankyou very much for that insight. Everyone wants a stake in anothers fame. I think I'll buy the book version instead. Thx aginCameraman Jenn wrote:Just a heads up about the e-books and this is, yes, from the man himself, the e-books contain a significant number of typos, errors and translation issues. The publishing house that contracted them was not willing to pay for the already existent digital files so they bought the rights and contracted for the digital files to be made by super cheap translation overseas. Yep, you heard me right. They got the rights for the manuscripts but it was cheaper by far to pay a translator from another country to transpose the books than pay for the existing digital files from the publisher holding the rights. SRD had no control over this therefore the e-books have egregious issues. He was even willing to offer up the digital files from himself for free just to make the books right but it would be in direct violation of contract rights. It's a messed up world we live in folks. Danlo and Lady Tam were also in on this convo so they can confirm this sad but horrible reality. Also for the record, SRD would have given the audio rights to Scott in a quick heartbeat if he had any say in the matter. Authors get screwed by modern tech if they aren't protected by modern contracts and most of SRD's stuff was written before this kind of technology was imagined let alone real. Scott got the rights to the first chrons because the contract had expired and Scott loved them so much he campaigned/worked hard and came up with the fundage to buy them himself which he did because he RAWKS!!!. The mid chrons are in limbo and the holder of said rights are holding out to see if the first chrons makes enough moolah on the first and final chrons to up the price so they suck even more for being more soulless than Holt Fasner. As for the final chrons, SRD is in fact pissed off that the holder of the rights did NOT contract Scott again but yet again, due to contract constraints he has no say so that sucks ass.
