Just finished Steven Erikson's Forge of Darkness.

Strong beginning. Even stronger middle. But a somewhat weaker and anticlimactic ending. For all of its flaws, still a fascinating read for Malazan fans.

I'm reading Hamilton's Reality Dysfunction, since I just picked up the 2nd and 3rd book.

I hate the way this series ends, but the rest of it is so good...want to try again and see if it makes up for the ridiculous part.

I'm reading Connie Willis' Blackout. I'm probably a little over half-way through. It's really awesome. I'm looking forward to All Clear.

The Mongoliad. Stephenson would be enough for me to get it, but Bear on board makes it so much better.

Done with Baxter's Northland vol I as well and KS Robinson's Icehenge.

So I just finished C.E. Murphy's Coyote Dreams and am kicking myself because I didn't bring the next book in the series with me to work. These are pretty good. 8) It's an urban fantasy series. The main character is a mechanic with the Seattle Police Department, but she's also a Cherokee shaman.

I got the first four from a friend. I think I'm gonna have to hunt up the newer ones for the Nook.

I've been reading Tyranny of the Night by Glen Cook. Not bad, once you get past the first 50 pages or so. Wayyyy too much political mumbo jumbo for me, and the editor in me cringed several times, but once he settles into the story, it's alright. I think Cook could run one hell of a GT game.

7 chapters into The Wise Man's Fear (first book on Kindle and I'm already an addict :P)...loved Name of the Wind, took a little while for the story to click back in, but the 2nd book is, now, moving faster and faster. 8) 8) 8)
