I organise mine by author when I have several by the same, but not alphabetically. My history books are in sort of period order. Depends on what space you have. I have about a quarter of what you have!
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

That's two hours from here. PM me if you think you'll have time for lunch one weekend day -- I can drive down. :)

Still trying variations to get these bookshelves looking good. Current iteration. Tried stacking some of the big books by same author rather than having them standing. I think it's an improvement, but now I have more awkward gaps.

Damn you people and your bookshelves. :D Every time I see them I'm reminded that I have as yet been too lazy to tidy my study and put up the shelves I desperately need.

I feel sad, but with a tinge of hope. The Win Wayfriend's Money thread needs more people to vote in the final round of Survivor: Sarangrave.

You could arange them according to the color spectrum of the rainbow. Start with placing the violet ones on the left and then keep on going until you finally put the red ones on the right.

No, no, no, wrong way round. Richard of York gave battle in vain - Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet! :D

 I've got a doctor's appointment at 10am on the 1st. Maybe we could do a late lunch? Or just an afternoon meetup?

And luci, do you have a way to get from the hinterlands ;) to Arlington?
