Congratulations MsMary for 10? 13? years on the Watch - whatever.

Y'see, before the Watch existed as this nice easy to use (if, Vain, slightly outdated) phpBB forum, it spent two years on an old forum site called EZBoard.

There it languished, attended by only a few brave souls, until Vain rescued it from the pop-up hell that was EZBoard, and made it into the wonderful place that it is today.

MsMary, along with Ali, danlo, Jay (kevinswatch), (say...who are the rest of the EZBoarders? All I can think of are ones recently departed) and maybe some others, (DragonLily?) are the last of the original denizens, and you can tell, because they all joined on the same day. (Give or take time differences.)

Membership dates only go back to the creation of this forum, (MsMary's joined date) and not to the foundation of the Watch itself.

I believe I remember when I first joined, there was a redirection link, and if you took a wrong turn you ended up in a dessert instead of here (I typically lurk for at least a month before joining a board in order to a feel for the culture of a board

Fie and Folly and Perkele. Now there crumbled the impression of the stern, stalwart, steel-nerved Swordmain I had taken many a pain to concoct!
Well...some of them may bear a pink-ish tint but definitely not a questionable outline!

I don't recall having talked about Gargoyles all that often...which may have to be rectified. Thanks for the sustificate, laughed myself silly over it.

You, know, Eff, I have to add this about the comments in your "sustificate":

The "not posting" is mostly from your POV. Early in the days of this board, I posted quite a lot. But I slowed down the last few years cause of an increased work schedule. And, of course, by the time you signed up, I was in hardly posting mode. So that's what you see.

Was just thinking about that and had to point it out.

I still give myself points for longevity.

You totally deserve the points for longevity, MsMary. And I think we ought to enshrine Av's Watch history somewhere for all the n00bs to see (so we don't have to keep explaining it ). And right next to it, we could enshrine the Watch history post that dAN wrote a few years ago....
