That depends upon whether or not Kevlar56 makes his way over to the Tank. *laugh*

Welcome to our newcomers: giniyam, Kevlar56, and Lisa. Did I miss someone? Oh yes--Doriendor Corishev. There is a forum named after you, in case you are curious about it.
The Tank is gone and now so am I.

Greetings, new people.

DoriendorCorishev, what do you think, does samadhi miss you?

giniyam, good for you, have you also already found SRD's site www.stephenrdonaldson.com/ , the audiobooks narrator's site www.scottbrickpresents.com/ and two wikis, a more serious one with information unbeliever.wikia.com/ and not so serious with art and parody gapintomirrorland.wikia.com/

kevlar56, this all suspiciously sounds as if you seriously love the Chrons and have no idea about the rest of SRD's books (which are awesome). There, now you might get something new to catch your breath over, ain't I evil?

Though Sin also gives a good suggestion, you better follow both.

And Hashi does know what he's talking about, both generally and in this case - kevlar won't be much help in the Tank, though if you get to fit there and neither kill nor get killed, it might be surprisingly rewarding.

Lisa, who do you call younger folk, I'm a few thousands of years older - and I guess I'd have mentioned a nuisance like a nuclear armageddon anyway.

Hello giniyam and kevlar56. Sorry to be a bit late - didn't have the computer on all day yesterday as I was reading a book (haven't finished it yet).

Another oldie, kevlar? I too had to wait for TOT and the 3rd one (can't remember what it's called at the moment - senior moment! ) to be published. :D

I used to post on another forum, and it started taking over my day. So I'm trying to show a little self-control. It does not come naturally.

So far, I've avoided the general discussion forum, because I know once I go there, I'll be like a fly in a web.

Wow. I totally forgot about that. I must have done that when I signed up in 2007. I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out.

Buried treasure, I guess.

Another first time long time

Post by Mekon »

I've known about this site for many years but only browsed. Now with the final last out I am rereading the series from the beginning and I plan on checking in here often for reference. I first entered The Land in the 70s and reread 1st and 2nd in the 90s. I found myself profoundly uncaring about the story in RotE and decided to put them all aside until TFC were completed. Now that day is here and I'm ready for an SRD orgy.

I want to thank all the long time members of this site for keeping it going. It is a valuable resource.

Thank you Iolanthe, sindatur, Hashi Lebwohl, Lord Foul (never thought I'd say THAT), wayfriend, Lisa, Avatar and Menolly. Forgive me if I missed anyone.
Some of you are almost like old friends, I've been reading your posts for years now and am almost embarrassed I waited this long. I did start a new topic, but thought I'd proffer a more personal thank you here.
Also, I think I should be upfront about this... I have ALWAYS loved Linden Avery and felt that THOOLAH was not only without merit, but never understood her at all. Especially in the Last Chrons. Maybe as a father and parent myself, I could identify with her or just because I could see myself in that position, I felt her actions and feelings understandable and forgivable from the start. (not trying to start anything mind you, just had to get that off my chest :-)).
Looking forward to a lot of great discussions!

Hahaha, that must feel a bit weird. It's like you suddenly became visible and now people are talking to you.

:D Go post things. What I said up ^ there ^ applies to you too y'know.

I second that . Welcome to Linden's Army!

BTW, does your avatar imply you're a fan of a certain movie, kevlar?
