Yeah..... I'm still quite amazed by the nod to the Watch on the dedication page in FR... It's pretty cool the number of new members we have gotten that way.

Welcome!

I'm happy to say that my dedications page is signed by two of the people it is dedicated to, as well as by the author. Now if I could just meet the author...

Holy Crap 8O 2500 folks talkin' about Thomas Covenant (and other Stephen Donaldson books) I haven't met even one person, in at least 20 yrs, that has even heard of Stephen Donaldson

Say hey lorin,
If'n by "the olympic highway" you mean Hwy 101, then yes. Hwy 101 runs from Canada thru California. I suppose that the part that runs through the Olympic Peninsula might be called the Olympic Highway? And yes...it's more scenic than I-5
If'n you're planning a trip through here, feel free to PM me about motel phone numbers or whatever.
Maybe we could even meet for a beer?

I was a bit miffed as well. Only me and my father ever spoke about SRD or TC.... then again you don't go around Swansea and randomly start talking about books...... books are bad.... it is OK for children until they get to 12 then from there on its beer and drugs........

Yes, being a Donaldson reader is a lonely endeavor. Kind of makes you wonder: how on earth did he end up selling so many Chronicles books back in the day? And where have all those readers scattered now?
