What am I looking forward to the most in 2017? 2016 fading in the rearview mirror.

And Pluto will always be a planet in my book. :P

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

Where is the "None of the above" option there, dude?

LOL!!
I think I earned a sweet temporary license to drink Ensure with the breast cancer 2 years back...
(Ensure is for nutrients, vitamins, minerals, right?)

2016 is gonna be gone like a giant bag of garbage hefted up and tossed into the dumpster.
A giant bag of garbage with rotting, liquefied vegetable matter in it, even.

Funny how we always hope/wish/expect the next year will be better than the previous one...

That said, this one was a bit rough hey...

3 days.

Yeah. 2016 had its ugly moments but there were some good ones too. Just like any other year I suppose. One hopes that 2017 will indeed prove to be better than the last.

I came here to be pessimistic and found my job was already done!

wait.
If other people are pessimistic for you, you don't have to be -as- pessimistic?

but... wait a minute again.
if you start being less pessimistic about things that are actually going to turn out badly, that's a bad thing, isn't it?

Can I just like get a friend to, like, re-wire me so I'm appropriately pessimistic about the things that will turn out badly?
and appropriately-optimistic about the things that are going to turn out well?

or am I totally not using the right definition of optimistic and pessimistic there?

1 day not counting this one.

2017 will be awesome.

The first cloned T-rex will walk the Earth and run amok.

Santa Claus will be discovered on the North Pole by accident.

First contact with an alien civilization from another planet but only moments before said planet is vaporized by its sun going nova.

It will be discovered that eating food causes aging in humans.

Bacon wrapped hot dogs will become a nationwide obsession.

The new dance craze will be "The Sausage".

A major earthquake will occur in Southern California however there will be only minor damage and an ancient alien spacecraft will be unearthed with the shocking likeness of Al Gore painted on the side.

A new season will be created called Bummer that occurs for only three days between Summer and Fall.

The dollar bill will be changed to feature a lifelike three dimensional interactive George Washington who speaks in 12 different languages including Klingon.

Saturn will lose its rings. Astronomers and astrophysicists will be stumped.

Ford will introduce a new model mid sized sedan called the "Schmuck" which will out sell every other make and model in the history of the automotive industry.

Pizza will become the new standard for Thanksgiving dinner.

There will be a revolution in computer technology and smart phone interactivity as "The Bug" is introduced by Microsoft which will be a small device you insert as a suppository which connects via the users intestinal tract.

And that's just a few random thoughts clouding my brain. Imagine what else there's going to be.

There's lots to look forward to guys. :-)

4.5 hours for me. Fireworks already starting...cat is hiding in my cupboard, after I had to go out and bring him in, very much against his will.

Won't be letting him out again tonight, which means he will be very annoyed with me...

14 hours. Let me know how it goes, I'm still keeping hibernation on the table as a potential option.

Huh, mine won't be going anywhere. Haven't done anything for new years for years. Even money whether I even bother staying up.
