The Coursers were breed to withstand and be controlled by the Sunbane, but they didn't just disappear once the Sunbane was gone. Did they?
I want the Sandgorgons back too. They were kick ass. I remember gasping when TC said Nom's name. You don't get that often in a book.

First Mark Tuvor... I get the humor of your post :) but seriously... if it were just horniness, why doesn't it to extend to non-Haruchai women? Even when they fell under the merewives' spell, they did it for the whiteness of their wives/women, something like that, not for any type of attraction to t...

Speaking as a newbie, I would be very put off by being told to check archived threads (though I accept FAQ are necessary). I joined so that I could have some sort of interaction with other readers, not to read about stale topics that nobody is interested in discussing anymore. If we're boring you, c...

1. How reliable is TC as a narrator? I don't mean he is dishonest. But I often get the impression that his perceptions are too colored by his disease and self-loathing for me to take what he is saying as 100% gospel. I definitely think he frequently jumps to the wrong conclusion and misinterprets th...

Interesting discussion! I wonder what constitutes a victory for Foul. I would think his number one goal is to break the arch of time and be free. Short of that, his goal is drive the Land utterly into corruption and despair. If the Ritual of Desecration was the ultimate act of despair (we know it wa...

Thanks for the welcome and the info everybody. Based on the PTP quote, I guess it was just mistaken identity. But who knows... I'm so happy to have found this board!! I read these books when I was a kid. I recently reread Lord of the Rings and thought what the heck why not reread Thomas Covenant. I ...
