Ive read FR, and now I find myself stuck, frustrated, and hungry for forbidden knowledge. The only thing Ive learned from FR, or ROE is that the last chronicles move at a much swifter pace, almost too fast to learn anything before your attention is drawn elsewhere. Oh well , with only 2 more years t...

The Desecration game everyones playing.

Trell performed the ROD inside Revelstone. Hile Troy murdered the Bloodguard sworn to protect him. Elena broke the law of death. Name the character and the moment of despair that caught you most off guard. My money rides on Joan who's betrayal seems to have made all others possible.

If we learned anything fron Elena it was that the Power of Command should not be used.It is a violation of choice. Thats why the creator doesnt use it.

Proof that the Land isnt a dream.

It is my opinion that proof of the Lands reality can be found near the end of White Gold Weilder. If the Land were only a dream the story would have faded to black at the moment of TC's death, winked out so to speak. The Lands existence after his demise compells me to believe that it was always ther...

I would have to say that there are too many variables to make the comparison, the ROD being a willful act, and leprosy being (hate using this expression) an act of god. Choice is the difference.

Haruchai women, must be very disgruntled.

For centuries they sent there sons and husbands off to defend a land they had never seen , to fight in a cause that was not their own , and for what ? The mothers of America know.

Desecration is far too complicated , and simple to fathom until after the fact. It is a paradox , as intense as a nuclear blast, and benign like a crumpled up page in Donaldsons waste basket.

Sixteen and Covenant was my first Anti-hero, from there I was advised by my grizzled mentor that if I liked the less than perfect edge given by stories that centered around the anti-hero, that I should try the Elric of Melnibone stories by Michael Moorcock. If you think leprosy is bad try being a Sa...

I would have to say Atirians fall into despair disturbed me more than anything else in any of the stories. Torn between the Oath of Peace , and the need for justified vengeance. The only course of action left to her was to destroy herself in the attempt to retrieve Covenant, and bring him to justice.
