I didn't have a problem with the story line whatsoever. I agree that he shouldn't change it (pending major indescrepencies). I WAS confused in one part though. In Chapter 11 - Masters of the Land - SD writes Anele translating what the stone says: "And it speaks well of Thomas Covenant, of the w...

I chose the desert sun (I also live in the desert and am pretty much used to it). I remember reading that it rained so hard under the sun of rain that you couldn't even see. I imagine it would have hurt a bit, too, to be pelted non-stop for 12 hours. A fertile sun would have been alright if you kept...

Great so far, Seafoam; Keep it up, man...it would be awesome to see the movie and it's good to know SOMEONE is trying to do it! The flashback scene is just about how I read it, but like WB said (quickly and overlapping somewhat). By the way, I'm a little over an hour from Hollywood, so if you're loo...

I would use it to help SRD write a little faster if it was at all possible. Would I be able to do that with a staff, or would that be the Illearth Stone?

I'd like to give it a try Caerroil Wildfish! By the way, instead of using Joe or Bob, can I use a name like...Chico? (LOL)

I've often wondered about the 7 words too. Melenkurion Abatha is a PHRASE of invocation of power according to the handy-dandy glossary at the end of the books...so I'm inclined to agree with Fist. Also Landwaster said something about Wurd, Word, etc., so that would seem to fit in too. Very intruigin...

Unless it was a typo, I remember seeing in one of the books "...he was an Haruchai." I thought about it when I saw it and thought I always pronounced it HAR-U-Chai (like Chai tea: thanks Lord Callindrill). "An" suggests that the H is silent.

Ok. After reading all your thoughts and speculations, I will now say it is the Illearth Stone. Lord Foul's Bane could be refering to the bane that belongs to LF, right? He got Drool to get it for him and taught him how to use it, but I don't remember why he couldn't just get it himself.

I didn't vote...At first I was going to say the Illearth Stone, then I was going to chose TC. But as I thought about it I asked myself, "How many times did anyone mention that White Gold had ever been used in The Land? Did TC bring it to the Land for the first time? If yes, then White Gold woul...

I also thought about how Nom got to TC in Revelstone. My thought was this: I seem to recall in the Illearth War, someone had mentioned that there were Sandgorgons in the Southern Waste at one time...and you know how the Map has never been drawn farther south than that. In the One Tree, beyond Bhrath...

Yes, Birdandbear, very well said. I also thought it was intruiging that the other Haruchai hadn't looked on Hergrom's death in anything other than "failure." That kind of blew me away!

8) SO COOL!!!!! Ditto with what everyone else said, and thanks a million to Vain and Danlo for this great news. I'd also like to hang out with you guys...there is only one person in my city who has ever heard of TC, and he didn't like it (boo on him). So you all are the only ones I can talk to about...
