I think Liand is going to come into hiw own by the end of this series. Imagine growing up without any knowledge out side of your village. Then finding out that the people you thought were running things were keeping your entire planets history from you. He must regard the Masters with disgust.

If I remember correctly Gilden-Fire was reproduced by the Science Fiction Book Club as a seperate book. You can find copies of it on E-bay fairly cheap. Like others have stated it gives a more in-depth look at the Bloodguard and the Seareach mission thru the eyes of Korik.

I have to agree with Variol Son about Hyrim. Sure he was a bit overweight, and seemed to be more inclined about his next meal than doing his work, but on the mission to Seareach he proved himself. Not many of the Lords could have stood up to that Giant-Raver the way he did.

Hold on now, Berenford stated that it looked as if they bled an entire cow. He did not say it was actually a cow. He earlier statement was basically saying that there was a lot of blood in there.

I'm in agreement with some of the other guys, give it time. Donaldson apparently still wanted to keep us in dark about the Demondin. I think we'll see more as the story unfolds.

I don't think we'll ever see an "Official" drawing of the Land's characters and landscape. SRD has stated many times that he prefers that readers use their own imagination on how they percieve what a person or being looks like. The same thing for the Land's landscape. I did see a neat phot...

I think in the 2nd Chronicles it started after Convenant rescued them from Revelstone. They swore to protect Convenant and the "Search". In my opinion how the Haruchai became the Masters and their service became "Corruption", is thru their arrogance and absolutness. They are so s...

Drew the Haruchai/Bloodguard/Masters are very absolute about all aspects of thier Life. Linden gave Cail and the other Haruchai reasons to Doubt her. They in the end were of course, wrong about her.

I agree with Murrin, even though Cail didn't have any direct power like a weapon, the Haruchai were an extremely powerful race. Plus Esmer inherited his extreme passion from Cail.

First of all what Convenant did was wrong, short of murder its one of the worse crimes out there. Second the guy was seriously screwed up in the head, his wife left him in disgust, took his child away, the town folk shunned him for over a year, he was taught there was no hope to be cured at the lepr...

One thing nice about SRD's writing is its so descriptive. He wants each of us to imagine what things look like to us as individuals. You definately can't use the book covers as a refernece because they vary so greatly. I'd have to say though that Runes is pretty close of how I imagine the land. As f...

its going to be interesting to see how Stave reacts to things now that he is no longer shares the mind sharing capabilities of the haruchai. Maybe he'll lighten up a bit and start cracking jokes.

I'm not sure if SRD did this on purpose but it could be a way he shows the example of how people in land "see" things. So he might go into more detail and be more descriptive in the Land to show this.

With CGI the special effects would be able to be created to cover this movie. However like SRD satted before, he's not sure how the movie would work with all the internal conflict that Covenant goes thru.

Even though Troy had possesion of the ring, I doubt he could have actually used its power in full. True the ring did come to life before he was claimed by Wildwood, but I believe that the power came from his love for Elena. It was also an early hint to the failure of the "New" Lords in the...

Unfortunately people have a tendacy to make fun of or ostracise groups of people for something they are afraid of or don't understand. Leprosy is probably the best example of this. For thousands of years it was thought that leprosy was caused by the person being a sinner, it was God's punishment. Th...
