Oh yes. Cool I have the feeling that this trilogy by Bakker will be like Donaldson or Dune or Tolkien for me - something I will come back and reread again and again over the years and still keep discovering new facets to it and new brilliance in it. I agree, I kind of blasted through the series. I ...

Did anyone else get an advance readres copy of Runes? I read that version first and have subsequently read the published version a "few" times (yes I'm manic, I know). Now I am going back to give the ARC another go. Has anyone found any differences in the final version compared to the ARC?...

When did Kevin's Dirt start? When Linden took the staff from the past to the present. Actually it was generations before that if I'm not mistaken. Linden observed from atop Kevin's Watch when she first re-entered the land. But why is it named Kevin's Dirt? Surely Kevin had something to do with it. ...

I think I'll reserve judgement until I have the whole story, but in this first book I find her to be a much stronger person, if not character. Her ignorance of many facets of TC's previous visit to the land without her and the times at which they were separarated during their trip together make for ...

Anyone else pick up one of these uncorrected proofs? I've got one one the way. Should be here in a couple days. I'm so damn excited I can't sleep. Anybody else get one? After waiting for so long it's going to be very strange reading this book. Anyone know what the differences are in this uncorrected...

I am basically reading it at all times, even if I have another book going...which is most of the time. Someti...

I too pretty much am constantly reading and re-reading the chrons. In fact I just started The Wounded Land again yesterday for the second time in a month. A shaft of vermeil as straight as the line between life and death shot toward the sun. It crackled like a discharge of lightning; but it was stea...

Sometimes...
Sometimes I like to read the second trilogy first, then read the first. It kind of gives a different outlook of the series as a whole. Lots of references back and forth that are more obvious when read in that way... SRD can take a single sentence from the first series and turn it into an entire them...
