Tombs of the Lords both Old & New

You know, it has always puzzled me why there were no mention of the final resting places of the Old Lords & the new ones.... Berek revered as a icon yet no tomb or mausoleum for people to come and pay their respects.... same with Damelon & Loric ( I think Kevin would somehow not have a huge ...

Aahhhh! jwaneeta's bringing out the big guns! Even more persuasive rhetoric! Run for the hills! (Preferably not the Andelainian Hills, as that's where Troy--er, Caer-Caveral is waiting to jump out at us. :screwy:) But seriously, jwaneeta, that was a terrific post. Very eloquent indeed. 8) err as pe...

Re: Mix and Match

Has anyone ever just for fun imagined their favourite fantasy characters in one anothers' worlds? It's sort of a fun thing I used to do when I was studying writing. For example if you switch Hamlet and Othello you get a totally different story; Hamlet sees through Iago and makes him jump through ho...

also to get back to the main thrust of my question....... where is Soranal's pub and how much for an earthbeer...... no no no I mean, surely someone in the Land in 3000 years would have accidently stumbled over a glowing chest (or some thing of that ilk) and wonder what it was..... I mean you go any...

loved the Giants to bits, especially Foamfollower....

only thing that irked me about the Unhomed was the way they just gave up hope
& let themselves be killed...

Very moving piece when Foamfollower described how he ran through Coercri trying to rouse the Giants to resist Kinslaughterer...

The 7 Wards of Kevin Landwaster

Just curious, and I suppose this has been covered before....! Kevin created 7 Wards for the survivors of the Ritual of Desecration to begin anew. We know the Giants had the first, the second was discovered in Revelstone after TC activated the krill, apparently in the second chronicles it mentioned t...

well... fresh from the rumour mills of Woodhelvin Area 51 - Gilden Section the only recorded visits of aliens from another world to the Land were as follows: Thomas Covenant Hile Troy Linden Avery fortunately the Caer-Caveral experiment worked on Hile Troy (many thanks to Wildwood for the assist!) a...

Re: QUESTIONS REGARDING (MAINLY) THE FIRST CHRONICLES

A variety of questions: 1. Were the Giants unhomed deliberately by the Elohim? 2. Was Hile Troy’s mental sight what every resident of the Land possesses? or Is the gift of earthsight one that is perceived mentally instead of through eye sight? If so why wouldn’t a person be able to see 360 degrees?...

Giantships

Ranyhyn as "bloody big horses"

Haruchai as "bastards you don't want to mess with"

Coercri "low rent housing available"

Elohim "elves with attitude"

Whatever happened to the Forestals???

This has probably already been discussed (most subjects have!!) but it could do with a re-visit...... in my humble opinion, there were forestals in Morinmoss, Giants Woods, Grimmerdhore, Andelain as well as Garroting Deep. Most of these forestals probably perished (sacrificed themselves?) to protect...
