After reading The Last Dark, I decided to re-read all 10 books.

I'm on my third reading of the 1st and 2nd chronicles, which will be followed by a second reading of the Last Chronicles.

I'm hoping that during some point in TLD, Covenent will slip back into his memories and relive Kevin and Foul enacting the Ritual of Desecration. I would love to read a detailed account of how that went down.

So, back on topic... what does the Blood of the Earth tastes like? I believe it has a strong element of Red Hot Chili Peppers but with a warring cold and quenching taste similar to good Tomato Juice. Over it all lies the aftertaste of a Red Lotus shot and beneath it all a very filling dose of baked...

What bothers me more is the question: where do people of the Land go to the bathroom? Does each stonedown have a communal stone outhouse? What do they wipe with when they are done? For the Woodhelvinen it's a no-brainer. With all the trees, they surely can make parchment to clean up after dropping a...

His actual first name was Jim-Bob, but nobody took him seriously or was afraid of him. So he changed it to Lord Foul.

Deagol found it at the bottom of a stream. His brother Smeagol then killed him, took the ring, was corrupted by it and gradually became Gollum.

I got mine yesterday (one day early - from amazon), but only had time to read the recaps and chapter 1 (which I had already read online). Hopefully will have time for a couple more chapters tonight.

Before the Illearth stone, there was the Healthyearth stone. When LF found that it made the earth healthy and perfect, he immediately abandoned it and found a stone with the opposite effect.

Hooooooooooooboy....ready for some more now. I have a feeling before the final book comes out, I'll need to reread the whole thing. Page 1 of Lord Foul's Bane to the end of the next book to prepare. Hopefully I won't burn myself out. I just got done doing that. I'm a slow reader - started with page...

This is no lie - the first time Linden slapped TC, I said aloud "that fucking bitch" and some of my co-workers looked at me and asked "who's a fucking bitch?" I am wicked pissed at Linden right now, more so than I have ever been before. I'm also wicked pissed at SRD, for this &q...

Lord Mhoram must have had some cool apps for his lomillialor rod. Also, when he was first testing them out, he walked progressively farther and farther away from Revelstone, repeatedly asking "Can you hear me now?"

Agree with WF and HLT. The Haruchai were always very susceptible to coercion, and the Illearth Stone was put into use against the citizens of Revelstone in that manner. Imagine for a moment, nearly 500 Bloodguard under the control of Satansfist, inside the gates of Revelstone, wiping out every man,...

That cover really does Brinn injustice (if that really is Brinn). First, no self-respecting Haruchai would never be crouching in that position with an open-mouthed expression. Brinn would be standing with the usual dispassionate look on his face. Secondly, the Haruchai never felt the need for weapon...
