After seeing Lost this fall on ABC, I think Evangeline Lilly would make a good Linden. Lighten her hair a bit, but she fits my mental picture of Linden pretty well otherwise.

First person shooter all the way... Blast the enemies with white gold (who cares that you don't know how to use it, it looks cool!) and save the Land from Saturn and his minions ;)

In Runes, Linden thinks about this. At one point she thinks to herself that she is out of shape from not having maintained the physical state that she obtained from her months with Covenant in the Land.

That's the only place I've ever seen it mentioned.

Not a word... but a phrase. Vulture wings. They are mentioned *a lot* through the first 6 books.

Threats crowd the air like vulture wings, etc.

But the light of the Krill was dead - indicating to me that it had lost its power after slaying Caer-Caveral. Perhaps it's still there in the tree, but I would bet it's just a sword now.

The only thing I can figure is that she threw herself at the fire and like someone else suggested, TC's wild magic grabbed her before she actually landed in it, and she actually fell back to the ground beside the fire rather than in it. I know it's a minor thing, but for some reason that stuck in my...

I can just see the song titles they come up with now: Comfortably Leprous Careful With That Ring, Eugene Another Brick In The Lord's Keep Shine On You Crazy White Gold :P Good ones :) Here's a couple more: Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sunbane Several Spe...

At the end of WGW, Linden "sees" the Fire Lions crouched inside the mountain and she recognizes them for what they are. That implied to me that they at least looked lion-like.

How did Linden get out of the fire?

Just finished the re-read of all 6 first books - Runes, here I come :) I noticed something that I hadn't noticed before though. At the end of TOT, Linden was heading back to the real world. In order to get Covenant to bring her back to the Land, she threw herself in the bonfire that the people doing...

I'm within the last 60 pages of WGW - so I'll be starting it any day now :) It had been at least 10 years since I read the books, so I started them all f...

The Dead in Andelain

In the 2nd trilogy, Covenant and Avery meet their dead in Andelain. It is speculated (by TC I think) that the Giants didn't see their dead since they were from outside the Land, but TC and LA are from outside the Land as well. Why do they see their dead and the Giants do not see theirs?

I can't see Foul letting any ur-viles have a piece of the Stone. I would imagine that it took great power to break off a piece for each giant. Why waste it on an ur-vile too? :)

Ur-viles are alive, even though they were made and not born. I believe Hamako talks about this when he's explaining the Weird to TC in TWL.

Vain is not alive. I don't think the Ravers could take him.

There are threads about that movie notice already :)

As for the poll question, I think the 2nd chronicles would actually make a better movie as there is more action consistently throughout the books. However, you could not make the 2nd chronicles with doing the 1st first I think ;)
