My current favourite comes from my 7 year old daughter when she was allowed to sit in the front seat of the car for the first time... I asked her how she liked it:
It's like watching a movie, but I'm sitting in the front row and it's in 3D!
cracked me up!...

UPDATE: copies of AATE are now apparently appearing here in Canada, at least locally. Ordered mine through Chapters, should be here by end of the week if not sooner. It is still very odd that so many Canadian bookstores didn't get copies today or over the last few days, especially around Toronto. B...

Interesting. I agree that it's not necessary to indulge in substances in order to hear and enjoy a music's power (but that's me). I love early Genesis, everything from their arrangement, lyrics, time signatures .. all of it. even the early sappy stuff had something extra that just doesn't exist toda...

The origin of Monty Python's famous "Chees Shop" s

Ok, I stumbled upon this while reading a certain 'classic'. I have never heard or seent his discussed anywhere (not that it hasn't) but just in case, I claim the discovery as mine, and no one elses' (ahem)... Read below and tell me if this does not sound almost exactly like the "cheese-shop&quo...

many people have listed Disney movies, but for me, and what we showed our daughter growing up, were the Miazaki movies: My Neighbour Totoro Kiki's Delivery Service Ponyo (as listed above) The Return of the Cat (Studio Gibli) The great thing about these movies is that they are great to watch with par...

LOL... to stoke the fires, and really, it doesn't mean anything unless Nolan comes out, but Michael Caine, in a two hour interview, recently said that the top stops spinning and it is reality at the end. Apparently he sites some clues (something to do with whats on his blackboard in the class scene)...

yah, i was reading and watching some reveiws from IGN, gamespot and others, and they do say that is is quite tough --- but one specifies that it does have a difficulty setting, so I guess I could dial it down to start ... but the one thing they do all say is that it is a great blend of racing and ma...

The American

Firstly, do not believe the trailers: this is not an action movie. Similar to "In Brugue" this movie was badly advertised ... but then again, as we had this discussion in the past, it is the trailer-maker's job to sell the movie. It's just unfortunate that they are selling the wrong kind o...

I saw this last night with my wife. Was kinda surprised that it was still around. Not too often you see a movie still in the theatres over a month after release. Anyway, we really loved it! Totally bought in to the action and mayhem. And I think there are two reasons for this: great acting and...
