It's been a long time since I've visited the Kevin's Watch forum, but I wanted to let everyone here know I've recently re-published both my books in electronic format. If anyone here would like to try out my work, and you have a kindle, nook, other e-reader, smartphone, heck, even a PC... you can ge...

Wow, I thought it was great. Definitely written in an older style, and it had a lot of digressions and didn't seem to have a unified plot. But I thought all those things made it charming. I found it witty, funny, creepy, and compelling. Definitely the kind of book you are going to either love or hat...

I've arrived late to this party, but I just started playing WoW a month or so ago. I've got a Night Elf Hunter on the Shadow Council server. Already level 30. This game is great!

After all these years, Sam decided to come out of the closet. He didn't know what his family would think, but it was simply something he had to do. Mustering his courage, he put his hand on the doorknob, opened the door, and stepped out of the closet.

Little Eddie woke up in the middle of the night feeling thirsty. He walked down to the kitchen and drank a glass of water. When he got back to his bed, he excitedly looked under his pillow. She had come! His tooth was gone, and a shiney silver dollar lay in its place.

The gray statue had stood long, enduring the elements and the brutality of war for hundreds of years. Sad, stone eyes regarded the world, reflecting on the brevity of human lives. Suddenly a shape, a red and blue blur, hurtled toward it. Destroyed, the last thing the statue saw was a laughing Superm...

He sat at his computer, wondering how he could possibly write a story in fifty-five words or less. Taking a deep breath, he determined he would not fail the challenge. He thought for a moment, silent, and then began to type. Before he knew it, the story was done.

I played this game once, but my version had slightly more strict rules. You had to get exactly one result. Zero didn't cut the mustard.

Tired of the Land?

When I first read The One Tree, in my much younger days, it was my least favorite book of the (then) six. The first reason was that it was almost all from the perspective of Linden Avery, a character I, at the time, didn't fully appreciate. The second reason was that it didn't take place in the Land...

A sad day recently. For the first time since it came out, Morrowind does not reside on my hard drive. I needed more room, and since I finished Morrowind and both the expansions, it had to go.

I read way too many comics. Mostly DC. From Marvel, I enjoy Astonishing X-Men and all the Ultimate titles (particularly The Ultimates).

Just finished it. Impression: LOTS of good stuff. I liked all the stories, to varying degrees. Nameday actually got me all choked up. Adrift was brilliant, and A God for Athiests really creeped me out. I keep looking out of the corner of my eye for gray statues. When I have more time (i.e., when I'm...

As depicted in Neil Gaiman's Sandman, and later Mike Carey's Lucifer series from Vertigo (an imprint of DC Comics), Satan aka Lucifer Morningstar, the Lightbringer, would easily hand Lord Foul and Sauron their asses. He is second only to Yahweh himself in power, plus he is the supreme master of stra...

It's not the cliche... it's what you do with it. There really aren't any original ideas left. Ideas become cliches because they work. Now, sure, as we grow older, we get tired of the same old same old, because we've seen it all before. Yet, if the characters are compelling and the story is emotional...

I've got no excerpt to post yet, because I haven't started writing it, but I've finally come up with an idea I'm excited about... I think the story is going to be called Messiah Complex.
