Happy Birthday to me!
Heh, I'm not actually trolling for congratulations, I just wanted to mention that I got an Unbeliever t-shirt as a gift! Without my asking for it. The giver was surprised when I mentioned that I knew who made them. The intarweb's a small place, after all. I also got a new copy of IEW (mine got lost)...

I made a SRD LJ community. So if any of you have a live journal and want to join, go ahead. I don't actually expect this to occur, mind you, but I was incensed that there were no existing communities. A few dozen users listing Donaldson related stuff in their interests, but no communities. So I reme...

It's a little counter-intuitive sometimes, but I'm fond of it. If you can find a server that's fairly geographically close, you're golden. That's what gave me trouble. A IRC channel is...basically a sort of chat room. No matter what server you connect to, the channel would be available (if we made i...

Suggestion: IRC chat?
Wouldn't it be cool if we had an IRC channel for those of us who use IRC? I would certainly frequent it. Other forums have used such to great...um, stuff. Any takers? I know we have the chat here...but if it were on IRC non-Watchies could find and use it, too.

This sounds right to me. In Patricia Kenneally's Keltiad series, a geis is sort of like a curse...but it can seem harmless at first. One of the characters has a geis laid on her that she must accept whatever food is offered to her. This is occasionally awkward, but she gets around it by accepting o...

Wow, the innocence=impotence thing makes so incredibly much more sense now...Elena screwed up because it was basically her first chance to do something enormously useful in the war on Despite and she had never done anything that had had even remotely as bad consequences...she didn't know what could ...

I JUST caught on to Myrrha's name...
 I went to see Mary Zimmerman's Metamorphoses last night, and one of the Ovid stories performed was the story of the girl who falls in love with her dad...whose name happens to be Myrrha, the name of Elena's horse. Unfortunately Myrrha actually gets to...relate to her father in that way, and i...

But the dub makes me want to swallow a fork pointy end first. We tried to watch the dub ONE TIME, one time only, got as far as "Hail, Ilpalazzo!" and had to stop. It's better in japanese, without question. And yes Ilpalazzo is awesome. Menchi's cool too.

Really HILARIOUS ideas, all...'specially The Pumpkin King though....Ah, Excel Saga, I can't believe someone was weird enough to create you... I'm thinking that if we have to have angsty character development, Final Fantasy style is the way to go...who is Squall but the embodiment of angst? Cinema sc...
