Wow!

There are so many possibilities running through my head after reading this... but the main question I have is: why did I read it knowing I can't read the rest for months?!? :)

Set the time machine for October and engage!!!

But,

Didn't Linden repair the Law of Death at the end of WGW with the new Staff of Law? Or is it still broken?

Hmmm... did I miss something?
Spoiler
The Dead in Andelain aren't really dead?
Was that something that was shown in WGW? Or something that has leaked from posts about Runes?

I think with the Illearth Stone, he could control any of them. That's always the impression I had anyway. You could be right about the despair part though.

Thanks Variol - I forgot about that. I haven't re-read the series in a while, but I'm starting again now in preparation for Runes :)

From the 5/13/04 questions: So (to pick a more simple and concrete example) Sandgorgons exist in the second "Chronicles" because I mentioned them in the first; but when I mentioned them in the first, I didn't foresee their eventual importance. Anyone know where Sandgorgons were mentioned i...

That would be an interesting twist if TC was actually Berek (through some time twist that comes about in the 3rd chron.). Then he'd be responsible for Elena, who led to the Law of Death being broken. And he'd also be responsible for Kevin (his heir if he were Berek), who performed the Ritual of Dese...

I love this book, can't believe I went 15 or so years reading fantasy and science fictoin without having anyone reccomend me this series. I frequent several gaming boards and "recommend some sci-fi/fantasy" threads come up all the time. I always plug SRD, both the TC series and the Gap se...

I seem to remember TC saying "Don't Touch Me!" a time or two... :) My favorite passage (more than just a quote) in the series is in LFB: "Are you a storyteller, Thomas Covenant?" Absently, he replied, "I was, once." "And you gave it up? Ah, that is as sad a tale in...

Thomas Covenant vs. Rand Al Thor: Covenant would be angry and sulk, but he would figure out how to use the White Gold before Rand stopped brooding about Matt getting all the women... TC wins! :)

Ah yes, I remember that now. Thanks for the quick quote.

That doesn't really help prove the Land is real does it...

My own belief is that the Land is real, but then I believe in lots of things other don't so that doesn't really mean anything :)

It's been a long time since I read these books (I'm starting again now to prepare for this fall :)) Was it ever mentioned anywhere if TC tried to look up whether Hile Troy was real or not? He had enough information about Hile Troy to do so once he got back to his world, and for some reason I thought...

Hello everyone. I've been a fan of SRD's work since I first read LFB back in 1978 in college. I've browsed your forums here and there over the past couple of years, but finally decided to register.

You have a great community here. Glad to be a part of it finally :)
