Re: Knowledge of the future

TC has all these memories from the AOT, but they are all of the past. Does that mean there is very little future left? The simple answer is that: (a) within the universe of The Last Chronicles , the future has yet to be decided and its final shape will be determined by the choices and decisions of ...

I can think of two possible sources of information about white gold, one of which entails a Last Chronicles spoiler. The other is that the Elohim would know about it and that at some time in the Land's past this knowledge would have been conveyed to the Lords either directly (e.g. to Berek during hi...

Has anyone considered that the worm is covered in stone. Anele's ability to hear stone may give the answer to putting it back to sleep. In the chapter "A Calling of Nicor" from TOT, Pitchwife passes on to Linden the Elohim's account of the Worm of the World's End, which is subsequently co...

I think some important clues about what to expect in AATE and The Last Dark can be found by re-reading: * Pitchwife's conversation with Linden about the Worm of the World's End and its cosmological significance in the chapter "A Calling of Nicor" from TOT (which was subsequently confirmed ...

Certainly the symptoms were healed, but I don't think the disease itself was cured for a number of reasons; one being the condition you arrive in is the condition you leave scheme. See my quote below the message 8) Seriously, I think the "he isn't whole" indicates that she can in some way...

Another bit involving Amok is drily amusing. This is when he says "I wait. And I answer." in response to Lord Callindrill's question, after which "Callindrill nodded as if this proved an unfortunate point."

We learn in Fatal Revenant that The First had her third son "later in life", that Galewrath was in turn the third son of his parents, and it can be presumed that Galewrath, having been a trainee Swordmainnir before his accident, is young by Giant standards (equivalent to 20-30 of our year...

Kaos Arcanna, that's right. She was described as appearing to be no older than 30. In terms of the effects of lore-wisdom on the ageing process, we could probably assume that Lords, hirebrands, gravelingases, etc., commenced their training some time in their late teens, which would mean that they wo...

Given the centrality of the theme of "loving parents and erring/unfortunate children" to the Last Chronicles, I wouldn't be surprised to see some resolution of the relationship between the Creator and the Despiser which embodies this theme.

Will High Lord Kevin redeem himself?

Well, obviously we don't know at this stage, but consider the following. 1. Some 8000 years after the Ritual of Desecration, Kevin is still bitter and twisted and hopelessly pessimistic, as evidenced by his response to Linden's resurrection of Covenant. 2. Berek has told Kevin that his crimes have n...

Foamfollower's age at the time of The First Chronicles (roughly 1000 years) has already been covered by other commenters. We learn in Fatal Revenant that The First had her third son "later in life", that Galewrath was in turn the third son of his parents, and it can be presumed that Galewr...

Thomas Covenant walks into a bar in Revelstone accompanied by an ostrich and a cat. They each take a seat, and the bartender asks them what they'd like to drink. Thomas Covenant says "A pint of springwine for me, thanks." The ostrich says, "A pint of springwine for me as well." T...
